Last week I was lucky enough to have aninterview with author Michelle Vasiliu who writes childrens books about mental health. Being able to talk to children about this difficult subject can be daunting for some parents, but often necessary, especially if a parent is going through their own mental health problems and wants their children to understand why they might behave differently to before. What Words to Avoid in Your Writing

Writing is tricky. Trying to express your meaning clearly can be hard enough, but also making it engaging can be quite the balancing act. As a writer, Im still working on it, but as an editor, ill-considered or lazy writing jumps off the page at me like a facehugger from Aliens. While much of any writers voice is a product of their individual choices, there are a few words everyone needs to be wary of.
