Just a small project...
So, last Friday we completely gutted our hall bathroom. Now comes the process of piecing it back together again. The last last owners aparently remodeled the bathrooms in 1994 (the house was built in 1958). We discovered this little tidbit of information when we removed the tub. Underneath, sealed in a ziplock bag, was a note and a photograph of the family before us. Hubby has decided we should add in a photo and note of our own for the next family who remodels. :) So here's the before

Cover Reveal
I just got permission to share with you guys the cover of THE HEIR AND THE SPARE. I gotta say, I think it's pretty awesome. It's also a little surreal that my book has a cover. Really, just the fact that my little made-up world is gonna see the light of day and people will be able to read it is kind of unreal. Anyways, here it is! *drumroll* I'm so excited to share it with you guys! :) ~Em

Super Exciting News!
I've been sitting on this news since before Christmas and I've been dying to share! My debut young adult novel, THE HEIR AND THE SPARE, is being published by Merit Press in early 2016! Holy cow! I need someone to pinch me cause this is just freaking unbelievable! I cannot wait for you guys to meet Evie and Edmund. ~Em

Lazy weekend
There is no holiday, but the kidlet has no school on Monday so, it's a long weekend. Yay! :) Hubby may be a little jealous though. My plan is to sleep in (kidlet permitting), hang out around the house, veg, get some revising done, and just have some much needed chill time. Life has been moving at such a fast clip lately that it's nice to regroup and recenter. For day one, I've spept in and spent most of the day revising and getting sidetracked by Hallmark movies. It's my guilty pleasure,

I did it, I think . . .
See that right up there? That's kind of how I'm feeling right now. To all the tech savvy people out there, I bow down to you. I am not, nor probably will I ever, be good at the technological stuff. Thanks to a good friend (hi, Zuke!) I think I got this sorted. Up until now I had no clue how websites worked behind the scenes. So, I hope you'll stick with me as I try to figure this out. Bear with me, it might get a little wonky in here for a while. ~Em
