Dreams really do come true

If you haven’t noticed by now, I have a really overactive imagination. When I’m awake, when I’m asleep, when I’m caught in the insomnia-fueled fury of somewhere in between…

Those dreams—day and night—are what inspired my newest novel, DETACHED.

I’m a huge believer in the hearts-in-eyes hopeful theory that anything is possible if you put your mind, heart, and often your bank account to it. This book has been no exception. An absolute labor of love from the first page.

I have some exciting news.

It’s probably only this exciting for me, so please indulge me. If you’ve been following me online lately, you know life has been absolute shit, so it doesn’t take much to make my heart explode with happiness.

My heart would have exploded regardless at this news.

You know I looooove Charlaine Harris, right? I mean, look at this face:

Her narrator for the Gunnie Rose series, Eva Kaminsky, has signed on to narrate the Saphera Nyx series! I was so afraid of rejection and disappointment, I could hardly bring myself to reach out to her. I’m so glad I did!

Who else has she worked with? How about the incomparable Heather Graham. Maybe my theatrical dance with Heather will give you some kind of idea how happy this news makes me.

For your viewing pleasure…

I told you…this is probably only crazy-thrilling for me. 😂 But I promise, you won’t be disappointed.

Eva has a beautifully long history in audiobooks and in Hollywood. You can check out all of Eva’s titles on Audible if you want to get a feel for what she sounds like.

You can specifically check out these favorite titles of mine:

An Easy Death By cover art

An Easy Death

By: Charlaine Harris
Narrated by: Eva Kaminsky

A Matter of Circumstance By cover art

A Matter of Circumstance

By: Heather Graham
Narrated by: Eva Kaminsky

The audiobook for Detached is coming sometime in February or March.

Stay tuned!

All Dogs Go BACK to Heaven

We Hyders are a dog family. Baby Dog adopted us in 2013. We’re still not 100% sure how old she is. We don’t know much about her life before she made our home her castle. And, truth be told, somedays we’re not sure why she chose us; she barely seems to tolerate us, most […]

A little after midnight, early Tuesday morning, I was woken by our barking dogs. I trudged out of bed and took them outside. Immediately, I sensed something off in the atmosphere. If you’ve ever been through a tornado, you know the eerie calm before the storm. However, exhaustion won out, and I went back to […]
