PROLOGUE:
In 2059 there started a nuclear war. At first it raged on between the countries- allies against allies after there had been an accidental launch of a nuclear missile from Florida to India. This war killed many more than it should have and destroyed more land and air than any war prior. By the start of 2060 the war had progressed to an inner battle between every single individual still fortunate enough to have survived the first year of The Great War Of Mankind.
There were no longer allies and even the refuge centers had been destroyed and/or deemed useless as the air became toxic.
Once beautiful, bright blue skies turned red and cloudy as the toxins rested along the atmosphere. The air killed all forms of life- the people, themselves, collapsing from their poisoned breaths as they tried to make it to the only safe haven in existance- the New World.
The New World was founded by Isaak Kazimir in 2060, just after the start of the war. It was a self sufficient shelter with clean, recycled air and a generator that could work miracles.
The idea of Kazimir's generator was that it could not only power the ten mile squared New World, but also that it could create virtually anything you gave it to work with. This then made it simple to construct things such as plants, animals, and water.
Isaak Kazimir, in his own way, had created a world and became a god of that world- a world people killed for a chance to survive in.
It took mere weeks for those struggling to breathe out in the Old World to show up at the gate, seeking refuge from the death that plagued them outside the tall, metallic New World walls. However, not everyone could fit within such limited space.
This created chaos as everyone fought for a chance to get in- a chance to survive what would be known as the war that killed off an entire world.
So, Kazimir offered the strongest such a chance. He offered them a filtered, gray tinted sky, metal walls and structures, concrete beneath their feet, and a long life of hard work that those who could took without a second thought on the matter.
The strongest survived the war- their lives content within the New World where they praise the supposed god that had granted them life.
The weak, the liabilities who did not make it, however, were left out in the Old World to die with the rest of the planet.

Chapter 1 Excerpt:
The New World- 2080...
A thin sheet of strong, stretchable fibers cover the New World from one wall to the next- not an inch of Old World air able to seep through. Within these confines is a new breed of humanity- survivors of the 2059-2060 nuclear war.
These New World humans seek strength, science, and virtually nothing else. The art of mercy has long since been forgotten, along with much of the Old World's history. Instead they have started over under the guidance of one Isaak Kazimir- creator of the New World.
The houses are all sturdy metallic homes with cube-like dimensions and as much comfort as one might find in a bomb shelter- which, in a way, the New World is. The air New Worlders breathe is recycled and powered soley by the generator designed by Isaak Kazimir. And thanks to an air flow constantly pouring out towards the closed gate, nothing toxic has any chance of making home within the New World atmosphere.
The New World skies are grey due to the tinting of the air filter that separates the once beautiful skies of the Old World. This, of course, only makes the surviving world that much colder. Metallic and cold- much like a prison cell.

Farren Maverick wants nothing more than to break through the walls of the New World. It's been all he's ever wanted since his grandfather first told him of the Old World land and sky. He needs to see this for himself, he believes. He needs to explore! He needs to dream! But above all else, he needs to live.
WARNING: SPOILERS- Proceed with caution..
Excerpt:
"Well, well, well, if it isn't fire ball- rearing to go, are we?" Ryker Smith asked with a smirk as he walked up to Farren casually, the boy's red middle school uniform unzipped and loose around the kid's short frame.
"Have been for years now.." Farren said back casually to the boy he had, in a way, grown up with despite their somewhat rare meetings with one another.
"Hmm.. still think you're gonna find blue skies and luscious grasslands, do you?" Ryker asked with a raised eyebrow at the young man.
"Absolutely." Farren said back simply with a stretch of his arms. Then Farren stopped and looked strangely at the boy beside him. "Aren't you.. supposed to be somewhere right now? You know- the back of the school building? Cheering off the test takers?"
Ryker hummed at the thought and slouched into himself so that he looked even shorter than he usually did. "As fun as that sounds... My little angel of peace and I have decided to rebel this year- he's no doubt yelling some peace clause at the law sticklers right about now.. no worries, though, I'll be joining him in a council meeting soon enough- thought I'd drop by to give my farewell to some story teller I used to live with before that, though..." Ryker said with a far off look toward the gate. They were currently at the exiled starting point- the red head beside him now automatically exiled for not only ditching out on his exam, but also refusing to wear his graduation day uniform.

Unbelieve: 2096 is the first novel to be released of the Unbelieve series. The science-fiction novel follows Oliver Anders, a New World graduate, as his beliefs are challenged by the heartless New Worlders he's been caged in with all his life.
"2059 brought on a nuclear war that would kill billions. 2060 created a brutal New World- a place where only the strongest could survive. 2096 sought out an end to the chaos carried on throughout years past. Follow Oliver Anders as he's tested by the New World and thrown into something much bigger than himself and his pacifistic morals.
One might find even their deepest beliefs changing in the worst of times.."
