This was a great thrill to find a first time Author who put the time in to do the research and write a Great Book. I read it and was so surprised at the descriptions of the scenery, the descriptions of the people. Having multiple in a story is hard enough, but Ms. Nyman did a great job. It starts with a trip to Rome, buying a trinket at a store, then time travel. She winds up with a stud named Caligua who was a Ceaser. I won't go into the sex scenes, but I will say she has the best description of it than any books I've revied and that's a lot. I was impressed. And then a twist that will surprise anyone. Well worth the price. This is the first in her series, and this was the first book. They can only get better. Congratulations Ms. Nyman. I look forward to reviewing many more for you in the future.

This is great! It's erotic but intellegent, definetely very hot sex and a very, very hot leading man. You even get some clasical history and poetry thrown in too. I'm very much looking forward to further instalments of this, it's a really superior erotic story.

If you want to read an erotic piece full of intelligent fiction, with a coherent historical background and a super exciting plot, this is the story for you. Plus the hottest sex scenes ever. Caligua is the real dream man, nothing like Cristian Grey. I can't wait to find out what will happen next.

When I was done reading I practically skipped out the door, into a bright sunny day and warm spring air, feeling that MY next great love might be just around the corner for me, too. Assholes Are Not Sexy!
Every girl likes a bad boy (even if they don't want to admit it!) but bad boy doesn't have to be an asshole.
I have a lot of issues with the 50 Shades and the glorification of abusive assholes it preaches.
Bad boys are sexy, yes. But is it necessary for the bad boy to be an abusive asshole? I think not.
I have written a sexy, snarky bad boy alpha male character in my series of short stories. He is a a bad boy but he's not an abusive asshole. All 12 of my female beta readers absolutely fell in love with him. I must admit fell in love with him while writing him, too. He's the ultimate bad boy, definitely not the sucker nice guy type, but he can be nice at times. It is possible to give the bad boy nice moments without taking away from his bad boy charisma.
He is the epitomy of alpha male and a bad boy, but not an abusive jerk. Assholes are NOT sexy!

Billionaires are boring
After the success of 50 Shades of Grey, the erotica genre on Amazon is flooded with 50 Shades copycats and billionaire stories. Shapeshifter paranormal erotica got huge after the Twilight, so now there is even a new trend combining the shapeshifting and billionaire: The were-animal billionaire.
The billionaire romance has been around since the 70's, it's nothing new. But I really can't understand one thing: Why still the billionaire? Why the shapeshifter billionaire, the vampire billionaire and countless other versions of the billionaire? Why not something new? What happened to the people's imaginations?
Well I find the whole billionaire fetish boring and cliche, so I decided to introduce the emperor fetish to the market. There are too few stories featuring sexy emperors. Historical and time travel erotica categories have a lot of Vikings, Victorian nobility, highlanders, even prehistoric caveman stories but hardly any emperors. What few examples I have read I didn't like. The emperor figures were far from sexy (one of them was even a total pig!) and there was no romance aspect in any of them.
When In Rome series is all about emperor fetish, featuring hardcore bondage, voyeurism, menage scenes and other kinky stuff but it's still romantic. I think it's quite possible to incorporate kinky stuff in a romance story. Why not? I did it. Even if no one reads it, at least I will be happy with the fact that I tried something different.

Greetings From the Cold North!
Well, it's not that cold in Scandinavia at the moment with the premature spring and all, but it's the popular label so I'll stick with that for now.
I'm getting ready to publish my first title and I'm quite excited. It's something new and original, something no one has done before. I hope the readers will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I am currently writing the third installment in the series. I planned to write five or six of them but let's see where it goes. It may be a dozen for all I know. It all depends on the feedback I get from my readers. That is because I put my other writing projects on hold to write this series. If it's well received, I'll continue it. We will see.
My friends and roommate loved the first story and told me it's brilliant, a total page turner and super sexy. One of my beta readers was a friend of a friend I don't know at all. She is an experienced erotica reader, so receiving high praise about my story from her convinced me to continue writing the series. I really hope everyone else will like it, too. I've received amazing feedback from everyone but I'm still quite nervous as a first timer. My friends and their friends love my stories but will the random readers out there like them too? That's what I want to find out. Curiosity kills the cat, they say!
My biggest hope is receiving feedback and comments from the readers who purchase and read it. My beta readers are already asking questions about the characters and the events in the series. I hope my readers flood me with comments and questions, too! I'll be waiting.
