2020 Democratic Debate #1
Because I am busy tomorrow.
8:58: Okay, ready for the debate. I’ve no idea who’s on tonight. I’m afraid when it starts I still won’t know who most of them are.
9:00: They’ve listed them all. I’ve heard of maybe four of them. That’s not good.
9:04: Warren started out well, although she didn’t really answer the question. All she did was deny that the economy is doing well for everyone, which I’m not sure is entirely accurate.
9:05: I wish they’d have their names on the screens under them. Since I don’t know who most of them are, that’d be helpful.
9:08: Oh, there we go! Booker’s name popped up. Thanks.
9:11: The President can’t pass the ERA.
9:12: Okay, she’s not even trying to answer the question. Nothing she’s saying has anything to do with equal pay. I mean, a lot of them are being vague, but she really ignored it.
9:14: Who the HELL is this guy?
9:16: They don’t serve hash at McDonald’s. I bet Trump knows that.
9:22: While I understand the problems with health care, I sure don’t want to switch out my coverage for Medicare. Mine’s been fine.
9:24: Delaney is making the most sense on this subject. At least now I know who he is.
9:27: Is it just me, or does Cory Booker look like Luther, Obama’s anger translator?
9:28: STOP ALL TALKING AT THE SAME TIME!
9:30: Goddamit. The Phillies tied the Mets game. Figures.
9:33: Seriously? They’re breaking for commercials? Do they always break for commercials in debates? That’s messed up.
9:37: I wonder if they’re asked about Israel, if they’ll speak in Hebrew. I’d vote for anyone who does that.
9:39: “Criminalizing desperation.” That’s a good phrase.
9:41: Stop interrupting each other.
9:43: SHUT UP! Jesus Christ!
9:51: So they pretty much all agree that pulling out of the Iranian deal was a dumbass idea. Good.
9:53: Yes, we know you served, you led with that. We get it.
9:54: I misheard her. I thought she said “Very ancient candidates” and I thought , “No, Biden and Sanders aren’t there.” But she said “anxious.” My bad.
10:00: Maddow should be able to shut them up.
10;06: Gun issues. This should be fun.
10:07: So Warren has no solution for guns. Not surprising.
10:09: If any of them says, “We need to get rid of the Second Amendment,” I will support them.
10:11: Caroline likes Ryan’s comments.
10:16: I just want to say, as a New Yorker, that I am utterly indifferent to deBlasio and I’ve no idea why he’s running.
10:18: Of course she does. Warren has a plan for everything.
10:28: I have no idea if anyone is reading this. I’ve checked my site and it seems frozen at Freak Out Friday from June 7: nothing since then. Just perfect.
10:35: I hate to say it, but I love when they go after Trump. He’s SUCH a dick.
10:36: Okay, that’s the most depressing personal history story we’ve heard tonight.
10:40: Christ, Rachel, stop them from talking over each other.
10:56: Klobichar is the only one so far who basically spoke about being electable.
Off to watch the Daily Show and Colbert live.

We’re going to wind up going to war with Iran.
I’m sorry, it’s inevitable. Yes, granted, the current news is that Trump shut down a strike at Iran in retaliation for their shooting down a drone. So on the surface of it, Trump is hesitant to thrust us into yet another prolonged battle.
But that’s not going to last.
Too many of Trump’s advisors are desperate to have us go to war with Iran, and have been for years. Meanwhile Trump remains besties with Saudi Arabia, another country run by dictators that kill journalists with impunity, and he intends to steam roll over congress in order to sell them missiles by declaring yet another nonexistent emergency. We’ve seen for ourselves that there is no topic upon which Trump cannot change his mind, within days or hours and sometimes even in the same sentence.
And here’s the real killer. Iran asserts that the drone was in their airspace. Once upon a time, we would have assumed that was a lie. But the sight of Colin Powell lying to the American people about WMDs in Iraq is still in our frontal lobes, and instead we find ourselves saying, “Well…maybe they’re telling the truth.” That’s what the age of the GOP has brought us to: We no longer trust the word of those in charge because Bush and Trump have made falsehoods a part of doing business. They’ve made lies routine.
WAG THE DOG. The Daily Show referred to the Iraqi war as “Operation Re-Elect Bush.” Which it really was. History has shown that when the country is in the midst of a war, American voters are reluctant to switch leaders. That is why Bush and company manufactured the “reasons” to attack Iraq, and I am certain that Trump’s people are going to follow the same game plan.
Based purely on the merits, Trump has nothing on which to campaign. But if six months from now we’re in a full blown war with Iran, that may well give him all the cover he needs to coast into a second term. Sooner or later, he’s going to realize that. His people will convince him of it, that war is a necessary evil, and he will go along with it because the fact is that he stands up to no one. He kisses the asses of dictators, and collapses whenever anyone puts any pressure on him. That’s why he’s terrified of impeachment. Because it would be the Democrats united to put pressure on him, and whenever that happens, he folds. Always.
WHY IS IT ALWAYS FLORIDA? Trump, who has never stopped running for a second term pretty much from the moment he took office, announced his run for a second term in Orlando earlier this week. What’s interesting is that he learned absolutely nothing from the 2018 election in which he tried to scare everyone about the notion that “furriners” were coming over the Mexican border to kill everyone in America. He attempted to use fear to cover for the fact that he had accomplished pretty much nothing during his first two years and the result was a blue wave that swept the Democrats into the house.
Proving that he learns nothing, Trump offered absolutely nothing new at his Orlando rally. He provided no results, no new ideas, blamed everything on the Democrats in general and Hillary Clinton in particular, and during seventy-five minutes lied at least fifteen times (the New York Times covered it quite well.).
The problem is that Trump has already proven that he is not the President of the United States; he is the President of those people who are already solidly in his camp. His base. He firmly believes that all he has to do is appeal to his base and he can get himself reelected.
And here’s the problem: He may be right.
See, the major problem is that the Democrats are stupid. We have two dozen people running for the presidency. That’s ridiculous. If we had a couple of dozen people running for the Senate, THAT I could get behind. But we simply don’t need two dozen people because voters are going to get distracted and, even more problematic, fractured.
Oooo, Joe Biden, he hugs people in a way that makes them uncomfortable. Can’t vote for him. Oooo, Elizabeth Warren, she believed family history and may have spoken inaccurately about her heritage. Can’t vote for her.
Jesus Christ. Trump boasts about grabbing women by their nethers and has lied over ten thousand times in his first two years. What the holy hell, people? Trump’s supporters do not abandon him, no matter what he says and what he does. They know he lies. They know he cheats on his wife and pays off porn stars to remain silent about it. They just don’t care.
What the bloody hell is wrong with us? What is it about Democrats that we have to hold our candidates to such high standards that we can’t support them if they screw up? Yes, they’re human; they’re going to say and do stupid things. But no matter what you may dislike about Biden or Warren or whoever else, they’re not narcissistic, they’re not pathological liars, they’re not as bad as Trump because NO ONE IS AS BAD AS TRUMP. Trump is the absolute worst. He sucks up to dictators, he doesn’t believe in climate change, and he profiteers off the Presidency. He is a self-centered asshole who doesn’t believe he’s obstructing justice because he believes laws don’t apply to him.
Democrats need to get their acts together, because we may not survive four more years of Trump.

Freak Out Friday – June 14, 2019
It’s been obvious over the past several years that Trump considers himself above the law. His oath of office, the Constitution of the United States, and the laws under which the rest of us live are mere guidelines that he can ignore whenever he wants to. This, of course, stems from his upbringing and the way in which he has done business throughout his life. Pay for nothing; apologize for nothing; do nothing. He has adhered to this way of living for the entirety of his presidency and there is no question that he is not going to deviate from it anytime soon. Anyone who opined that he would become more presidential as time passed has been proven entirely wrong; instead he has made the office itself less presidential.
BILL ME LATER. When Trump was criss crossing the country while running for the presidency, he oftentimes praised the police forces who turned out to maintain security and keep the peace while Trump’s people busily assaulted reporters and liberals. But they didn’t do it out of the goodness of their hearts. The Trump campaign was supposed to pay them. So now it’s over two years later and the police forces of ten cities are owed over $800,000 by the Trump campaign. And here’s no shock at all; the campaign has absolutely no intention of paying anyone. Why should they? Throughout his career Trump is notorious for hiring people to do work for him and then stiffing them, challenging them to take him to court if they have any hope of receiving compensation. That’s how he operates. He screws people over. It’s a cost of doing business.
BRING ON COLLUSION. For two years now, Trump has repeated a familiar refrain when it comes to the Mueller report. “No collusion!” he has said over and over, ignoring the fact that the report was never seeking to find out if there was any. It’s never mentioned anywhere in its mandate and the word has no legal meaning. Yet this week, in an interview with George Stephanpoulos (dude, seriously, change your name to George Stevens or something) he basically asserted, repeatedly, that he would be totally open to a foreign country approaching him with scurrilous information about an opposition candidate. Would he listen to it or would he inform the FBI? Well, heck, he’d do both, he claimed, although he went on to say that never in his life had he ever contacted the FBI about anything, even though he had witnessed all manner of things that were presumably illegal. So the subtext was that no, he wouldn’t tell the Feds about it at all. Even though to keep such information to himself or to accept help from a foreign country is illegal, he would not hesitate to do so. There’s a word for that: Collusion. He sent a direct message to anyone interested in helping to skew another election that he is completely open to it. He has since tried to walk it back, claiming that of COURSE he’d contact the FBI, a recanting that convinces no one except for the idiots on Fox News who–outraged that Trump would speak to anyone aside from them–are demanding of each other to know why in the world Trump would even bother to speak to George in the first place. Since they’re Trumpists, naturally their go-to tactic is insults, because that’s what Trump routinely resorts to.
LIES, DAMN LIES AND STATISTICS. Trump’s internal polls have been released that dictate what we all hope to be true: that voters uniformly aren’t supporting him for reelection. The polls indicate that Biden would clobber him; that Sanders would clobber him; that most of the Democrats would clobber him. Has he taken that as a cue to change his ways? To come up with carefully designed plans to address things that matter to the voters? To shut down his Twitter account? Of course not. Instead he has now coined “FakePolls” as his new mantra, declaring that either the news outlets reporting them are lying, or that the polls are false. Denial isn’t just a river in Egypt; it is where Trump lives.
KELLYANNE CON JOB. It’s been exactly seventy years since the passing of the Hatch Act, which was created to prevent members of the Executive Branch from participating in certain forms of political activity. For one thing, they can’t go out and attack other politicians. It is an act that Kellyanne Conway has routinely ignored, and the Office of Special Counsel has stated that she should be fired for doing so. Is Trump going to do that? Fire her because she has routinely violated the law? Of course not. Why are you asking? Why are you even wondering? It’s already been said: Trump has no respect for the law and sees no reason why he or anyone who works for him has to pay the slightest bit of attention to it.
You know, the more I ponder impeachment, the more I’m starting to believe that the Democrats are overthinking. It is beyond question that his attempts to obstruct justice are impeachable offenses. Beyond question. What it comes down to is, is the House going to do its job or fail to do so because of political considerations? They have a constitutional obligation to oversee the President and thus far have shirked their duty in that regards. It’s clear that Trump is not the slightest bit interested in doing his job. Is the House of Representatives going to do theirs?

Freak Out Friday – June 7, 2019
One of the key responsibilities of the President of the United States is to be the face of America to the world. Trump endeavored to undertake that task this week and, no surprise, has consistently made a bollocks of it. Whether he was touching the Queen–something that the Right Wing went batshit over when Michelle Obama did it but shrugged in indifference with Trump–or denying the presence of thousands of protestors (this from the same guy who claimed that his inauguration crowd was larger than Obama’s when it was demonstrably much smaller) Trump was his usual idiot self.
Where to begin…
OLD SOLDIERS NEVER DIE. Trump’s track record with the military is legendary. Whether he’s dissing the parents of dead soldiers, announcing he wants to spend millions of tax dollars on an unnecessary army parade, or declaring that trans people can’t serve, Trump has proven no supporter of the US military. So his behavior on the 75th anniversary of D-Day was naturally no exception: He dismissed Robert Mueller as “a fool.” Yes, the man who stated he had no respect for John McCain because he was captured labeled Mueller a fool. Let us keep in mind that this fool received a Bronze Star and a Navy Commendation medal for his service in Vietnam, the war that Cadet Bone Spurs came up with five deferments to avoid. Oh, and he also claimed that the fake news never reported the letter that Mueller had to write to “straighten out his testimony.” What testimony? No clue considering Mueller never testified. The only letter we know about was the one he sent blockhead Barr to complain about how Barr characterized his report. Yet again the most powerful man in the world lies and makes no sense.“LOCK HER UP”. He also didn’t hesitate to slam Nancy Pelosi for allegedly claiming (her office hasn’t verified it) that she didn’t want Trump impeached, she wanted him in prison. This was naturally echoed by professional presidential ass-kisser Sean Hannity who declared that wanting a political opponent in jail was something that happened “in banana republics.” So according to Hannity, every single Trump rally that had Trumpers loudly declaring “Lock her up!” in reference to Hillary Clinton must have been happening in a banana republic. So say nothing of Trump’s own repeated tweets asserting that Clinton should be prosecuted and jailed.THINGS OF BEAUTY. Trump has an astounding litany of things that he describes as beautiful, and now he has added “tariffs” to that copious list. Specifically, it was how he described his proposed tariffs on Mexico in retaliation for immigrants. Five percent a month until Mexico manages to…well, we don’t know what. He’s provided no specifics other than they should “stop” the immigrants without providing the slightest guidance as to how they would do that. Of course, if the tariffs do go into effect, they will be paid for by Americans and very likely tank the economy. It’s almost worth it because if the economy goes off the rails, it will likely sink his 2020 reelection bid. But the GOP doesn’t see it that way, and there is actual talk of them growing a spine and standing up to the lunatic. It’s fascinating to see that, in the face of all the shit they have stood by and supported, this may be the thing where they draw the line.A PRINCE OF A GUY. Prince Charles sat down with Trump for ninety minutes to explain to him why climate change is a genuine problem that threatens mankind’s continued existence on this planet. Yet despite all this, plus the concurrence of just about every scientist on the planet, Trump still doesn’t believe it. At least various states around the country are stepping in where Trump is falling down and making their own endeavors to clean up the country. ABORTIVE RESEARCH. Scientists use fetal tissue from elective abortions to investigate infectious disease, human development and eye disorders. Well, no more, if those scientists work for the government. According to Nature.com, “US President Donald Trump’s administration is ending fetal-tissue research by government scientists and placing restrictions on academic researchers seeking grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for studies involving fetal tissue.” It’s bad enough that individual states are intent on eliminating a woman’s right to choose; now the US government is endeavoring to curtail scientific research that could potentially improve millions of lives. Naturally.WAIT, WHAT? Trump posted a Tweet that I have read repeatedly and still don’t understand it: “For all of the money we are spending, Nasa (stet) should NOT be talking about going to the Moon – We did that 50 years ago. They should be focused on the much bigger things that we are doing, including Mars (of which the Moon is a part) Defense and Science!” No matter how long I ponder that statement, I can’t discern what the hell he’s talking about. The Moon is our single satellite; Mars is another planet. How in the name of God the Moon a part of Mars? This Tweets are typically either lies or nonsensical, but this one goes to a new level of incomprehensible idiocy. That’s the thing about Trump: No matter how stupid he is, he always manages to attain new lows.

Defending Max Anderson
Word is being spread through various news sources that JC Lee is suing Max Anderson, the man who oversaw Stan’s convention appearances and shepherded him time and again through fans and autographings.
The articles are thoroughly unresearched. Max is not quoted; only JC’s press releases. Just one example: JC accuses Max of stealing a ton of money from Stan at the New York Comic Convention in 2017. Good trick; Stan didn’t attend that convention.
Over the last decade+, I had many opportunities to observe Max and Stan. Stan trusted Max thoroughly, and that trust was entirely deserved. Max would never cheat him or screw him over in any way.
This made him an opponent to JC and others. I suggest you check out a site call Stanleesworlds.com. There you can listen to a podcast where a former “employee” of Stan’s, Keya Morgan (currently under arrest in LA for elder abuse), is tape recorded (without his knowledge) referring to his and JC’s desire to get rid of people who were “protecting” Stan. His word: protecting. You protect someone from something that is a threat, so basically Morgan acknowledged that that was what he and JC were.
Yet JC is now endeavoring to savage Max with an utterly BS lawsuit in hopes to convince the suckers to turn against him.
Don’t be a sucker.

Happy anniversary
Twenty years ago, my first marriage fell apart. Understand that that wasn’t supposed to happen. When I took my wedding vows–when I said “‘Til Death Do Us Part”–I meant it. I knew I had been extremely lucky in finding love and I knew I wasn’t the kind of guy who could be that fortunate twice. So I was convinced that I was going to spend the rest of my life alone…assuming that I didn’t just end it and escape the pain.
Yet I was foolish enough to approach an old friend of mine, Kathleen O’Shea, who lived down in Atlanta, and told her that I was interested in pursuing a more romantic relationship.
Several years later, with the agony of the divorce behind me, I was going to propose to her. My attorney strongly advised me to have her sign a prenup. She said she was willing to do it.
And I thought about it and thought about it and decided that I couldn’t. How could I say, once again, “‘Til Death Do Us Part” if I had made preparations for the marriage ending prematurely? The words would have no meaning. “‘Til death do us part unless we break up in which case you get nothing.” That doesn’t sound romantic.
So, like Indiana Jones in “Last Crusade” (which we just watched two days ago because it opened thirty years ago that day) I took a leap of faith off the lion’s mouth. I should mention that my parents adored Kathleen since they had been worried that I would never be happy again, and she made me very, very happy.
That was eighteen years ago today. She’s fond of saying that our marriage is now old enough to vote. It has been an amazing eighteen years. We’ve been through a lot together (near bankruptcy; stroke) but we have been blessed with friends, loving family, and a now-sixteen year old daughter. We’re really looking forward to the 21st anniversary, when it will not only be old enough to drink, but will exceed the twenty years of the first marriage. At this point health scares are behind us, money is fine, everything is going great. Perhaps I’m tempting the evil eye in saying that, but as long as we’re together, I’m not afraid of any risk. I love you, Kathleen.

We know that Trump loves dictators. We know he’d actually like to be a dictator. He despises the Constitution that he swore to serve, loathes the Constitutional obligation that rests upon the legislators to supervise him, and just wants to take infinite amounts of money and spend them on whatever he wants without having to clear it with anyone else. He will do everything from shut down the government to ignore Congress in order to accomplish what he wants, and we are forced to one ineluctable conclusion: anyone who supports him simply has no clue what this country is supposed to be about.
1). BRIDGE TO NOWHERE. A month or so ago, it was proudly announced that Trump was going to be working with the Democrats to put together a multi-trillion dollar infrastructure bill. For some reason that I cannot even begin to fathom, the Democrats were stupid enough to take him at his word.
Why? Why in God’s name did they trust him? Why did they even bother to announce it? Trump never keeps his word. Ever. Whether he’s promising to remain faithful to his wife, pay someone who works for him, or be loyal to employees, Trump always violates whatever he says he’s going to do. Always. ALWAYS.
So early this week he was supposed to meet with the Democrats to discuss actually coming up with the money to pay for the plan. Did he have a plan? No, of course not. Was he prepared to discuss it? You’re kidding, right? Was he going to actually sit and reasonably discuss options with his political opponents? Are you even paying attention?
But Nancy Pelosi served him up an easy pitch and he swatted it. Before the meeting she stated that she thought Trump was engaging in a cover up. Why did she say that? Because he’s engaging in a cover up. I mean, it’s pretty obvious. Whether he’s blocking Congress’s legal attempts to get his tax records or preventing people from testifying before them, it’s clear he’s hiding stuff. Yet Trump, who gave Stormy Daniels $130K to shut her up…a man who is suing his own banks to try and prevent them from cooperating with Congress…had the nerve to claim that he doesn’t do cover ups.
So he had a three minute meeting with the Democrats which they described as a temper tantrum. He tried to refute that by claiming the he didn’t shout or raise his voice. Uh huh. Ever see a small child in a toy store lie down on the floor, fold his arms and silently refuse to budge until he gets what he wants? Right. That’s a temper tantrum. Loud voices are not required. Nor, for that matter, did Pelosi or Schumer claim he yelled. Since he shows no sign of getting tired of claiming he didn’t do stuff that he’s not accused of (“No collusion!” he shouts even though Mueller wasn’t investigating it) he naturally declared that he had not committed behavior that no one said he had. Instead he insists that he’s not going to work with the Democrats until they stop investigating him, i.e., he’s not going to start doing his job until they stop doing theirs. Which isn’t going to happen.
Oh, and he asked several of his aides to swear that he hadn’t thrown a temper tantrum. Right, right, because when you want the truth about Trump, you naturally look to Kellyanne Conway or Sarah Sanders, because they’ll answer you with unbiased honesty.
Later on Pelosi stated that Trump wanted to be impeached. Once again, she’s correct. His best chance of reelection is if he’s impeached because that’s a major rallying point for his base. He can go through the country and claim that the Democrats are far more interested in getting rid of him than they are helping the American public, and his idiot supporters will bob their heads and say “A-yup!” while they’re busy paying higher and higher prices on imported goods thanks to his idiot trade wars. And of course if the impeachment did get through the House, it would die in the Senate. One GOP senator came forward and said he thought that Trump was engaged in obstruction of justice, and naturally the rest of the GOP turned on him. There is only one person who can impeach Trump, and that’s Mitch McConnell. If he had a press conference at the beginning of a week in which he said that he’d decided he was wrong and Trump should be impeached, the articles would be passed before Friday. Pelosi is right that impeachment is a non-starter and fortunately she’s managing to convince the other Dems to follow her lead. I think she believes that if Trump is left on his own, he will self-destruct. And just today, he did something that may well rove her right.
2). THINGS THAT GO BOOM. You remember Saudi Arabia. The country that murdered a Washington Post journalist. A country that’s about as far from a Democracy as a nation can be? That’s definitely who you want to sell arms to, right?
Well, Congress didn’t. They’ve been blocking the deal.
And Trump, who fabricated a non-existent emergency to get money for his wall, announced another false emergency so he could complete twenty-two arms deals to Saudi Arabia totaling $8 billion. Both Democrats and GOP are objecting, but naturally he doesn’t give the slightest of damns. It doesn’t matter to him that the Saudis will likely use them to rain down death and destruction on innocent civilians in Yemen. For him it’s about money, and supporting dictators, and making money while supporting dictators. Because that’s the lunatic who is currently sitting in the Oval Office. That is the sociopathic, syphilitic asshole running the country.
He needs to be voted out of office. I honestly don’t give a damn which of the two dozen Democrats winds up going against him: you have to vote for him or her. Four more years of this and there may not be a country left.

Freak Out Friday – May 10, 2019
So Trump has been busy, and not in a positive way.
1). It’s not over, it’s not time to move on. . The Mueller report was very specific: Trump attempted to obstruct justice repeatedly, and it is up to Congress to investigate it. This is their job as per the constitution, a document that Trump swore he would protect, and naturally he is cooperating fully.
Yeah. Right.
House Democrats have been using their subpoena power to demand appearances from Robert Mueller, Bill Barr, not to mention a 1920s law that states they can demand anyone’s tax returns. And Trump, as he promised he would, is stonewalling them. Now it’s not as if that’s entirely unprecedented: Presidents as recently as Obama resisted Congressional subpoenas. The difference is that in previous instances, accommodations were reached. But Trump isn’t any more interested in reaching accommodations than he is in paying people who work for him. He regards the House Democrats not as an equal branch of government, but enemies, and enemies must never be accommodated, bargained with or reasoned with. Enemies must be stopped cold, period. So although he has yet to build a wall between us and Mexico, he is busily constructing a wall between the Executive and Legislative branches of government.
Basically he is now attempting to exert executive privilege over the Mueller report. This, of course, makes no sense at all. He didn’t assert executive privilege over the original investigation, so there is absolutely no basis upon which to apply it now. Except he is…because stonewalling subpoenas worked SO well for Richard Nixon.
Except Nixon didn’t have a Mitch McConnell watching his back. While McConnell’s polls continue to erode in his native Kentucky, his senate majority firmly has Trump covered, making any threat of impeachment an empty one. All impeachment will do is galvanize Trump’s base and end up failing in the Senate because there aren’t twenty Republicans willing to jump ship.
Their philosophy is very simple. Since the Mueller report did not find definitive proof that Trump conspired with the Russians, therefore there was no crime for Trump to have impeded and therefore there’s no basis for impeachment. This, of course, ignores his firing of James Comey; his repeated attempts to get rid of Robert Mueller; his lies; his urging his underlings to lie; his refusal to testify; his instructions to his subordinates to impede justice which only didn’t happen because they disobeyed him. Urging people to commit a crime is in itself a crime, something that McConnell and his ilk simply don’t care about. They care about power, first and foremost and exclusively. The fact is that if Hillary Clinton had behaved in this manner when they spent years investigating her, they’d have dragged her to court. If Obama had stonewalled them to this degree, they would have impeached him. But with Trump they let it go and defend him.
The simple fact is this: they have no right to be called Senators. They have abrogated their responsibility to the voters in specific and the people in general. They still obsess about Hillary’s emails while ignoring the fact that Trump gives out his private phone number and speaks to people like Justin Trudeau on non-secured phone lines.
2). My house is a very very very fine house. Get out.. Trump’s latest plan is to evict undocumented residents from public housing as a way to further impede immigrants and make their lives miserable. Here’s the problem: it’s estimated that as many as 55,000 kids can be tossed out of their homes who are in fact legally entitled for aid because they’re either legal US citizens or residents. But hey, they’re kids, and kids don’t vote, so to hell with them.
3). Let’s do Chinese.. I admit, I’m no expert on world economic matters. But I fail to understand the reasoning behind picking a trade war with China. What is the advantage in pissing off a country to whom we are in debut to the tune of $1.13 trillion dollars? That’s the bottom line to me. Couldn’t they, y’know, economically sink us if they felt like it? Yes, that would lead to a catastrophic world depression, but they’d be the ones sitting on top, so why would they care?
Then again, what else can we expect from Trump? The New York Times reported that during a ten year period he lost more money than anyone in history. Or who knows? Perhaps he didn’t. Perhaps he made false tax claims “for sport” because ostensibly that was what all real estate developers of the time did. It makes sense. After all, he has the emotional developmental level of a five year old, so it would make sense that he would justify his actions with the oldest of excuses: Everyone else is doing it, so why shouldn’t I? The classic response to that, of course, is: If everyone jumped off a bridge, would you? The answer of course is No, not immediately. First he’d take out a loan, buy the bridge, change its name to the Trump bridge, repaint it gold, and THEN jump.
I can’t even bring myself to bring up Iran. It’s just too much for one week.
