Moist Tulips

I’m at my local Starbucks last week, which happens to be located inside a Barnes and Noble – I know, heaven – and I’m drinking my favorite daytime beverage, wine coffee, with my book whisperer, Mandi, and we’re doing what all women do when we have a sliver of time to talk uninterrupted:

I would start a sentence, which remindedher of this *insert random thing*she wanted to tellme, and then I’d interrupt her to say, “I know, and blah blah...

Ohmigosh, she’s NAKED!

There are lovely things about having a friend from across the pond, regardless of which side of that pond you reside. It’s a keyhole view into another world, where cultural norms may differ. There’s also the added benefit of hearing their accent whenever you want. *swoon*

Don’t be a douche, and other life lessons I want my children to learn

One week ago, I was driving my eldest to gymnastics when my youngest(7yo) made a bold declaration from the back seat: “I’m not going to play withShaneanymore cuz he told me he doesn’t believe in God.”


*insert noise ofcar screeching to a halt*

Take a ride on my crazy train

THREE MOST MIND-BLOGGING THINGS ABOUT 2014:

My post about mental illness was Freshly Pressed. Me. Freshly Pressed. That’s INSANEAMAZINGCRAZYBEAUTIFUL. I’m very proud of that post, not only because it spread awareness about mental illness from a unique perspective, but I met (and hopefully helped in some way) so many incredible people who either suffer with mental illness themselves, or have a family member or friend who does. It opened a dialogue I didn’t know I needed.
