The Power of a Familiar Face
As I watched Stephen Colbert gleefully dance out to perform his first monologue on the Late Show I could not help but smile and enjoy the moment in television history. How often do you get to witness the passing of the torch for a show as well known and loved as the Late Show? As I was watching a question stuck in my mind. If this was an “unknown” comedian would it be the same? Would this moment be as fun? The answer, no and no. Then I thought, what if an “unknown” host made the same facial e...

Thanks Employer For Being So Cool…
Something cool happened to me today. My company published a “front-page” interview with me on their internal internet homepage. It may not sound too snazzy, but my company has over 15,000 employees and whenever they logged onto internet explorer my picture popped up holding Keys of Candor: The Red Deaths and the link took them to the interview. That is a ton of people getting a chance to hear about Keys of Candor! Not bad for free marketing. Wow! So to my employer I must say thank you for bei...

Stopping By To Say Hello
As I sat down at the computer this evening I realized it has been weeks since our last post. Now, I know that people are not sitting at home sobbing uncontrollably just because we have not posted recently. However, if I am wrong and you have been sitting at home eating ice cream and twinkies, burning through boxes of Kleenex, cursing mine and Seth’s names because of our distance then cry no longer. I am stopping by to say hello and let you know what we have been up to.
Below are a list of...

Thoughts On Amazon’s New Review Rating System
A change was recently made that probably nobody noticed, but it is an important change for people selling books, music or other goods that are not backed by large corporations with marketing budgets. Late in June, Amazon shifted the rating system so it is no longer a simple average of the number of stars provided. Instead, the system is now weighted. The weighting has not been revealed but ratings that are from verified purchases (Amazon purchasers), newer reviews and those marked as helpful...

Revisiting Typeface – Never Stop Learning and Improving
“Ancora Imparo.”
The words are credited to the artistic genius Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni at the age of 87. A man that many would consider a genius or artistic marvel of his time uttered those words when many would say, “I have mastered my craft. I am accomplished.”
So what do the words Ancora Imparo mean? Simply translated, “I am still learning.”
Wow. I will never forget the first time I heard about this little phrase and I doubt I will any time soon. It has stuck with me whe...
