New from me at @RawStory:

Trump and Kash Patel, his pick to lead the FBI, are obsessed with the agency's handling of the "Russia Russia Russia." But neither has had anything to say about the FBI's aggressive efforts to disrupt neo-Nazi terror plots. /1 https://t.co/EaB2jAmtQ2

I was wondering how all the racists were gonna deal with the fact that Trump's coalition was more diverse now and I guess one approach is a kind of a Lord of the Rings/Star Wars racism where different races do different jobs https://t.co/IfV6bx7elV

"This is going to be biblical" is the mildest of re-phrasing of "It's going to be biblical" which is a slogan QAnon followers use to describe what will happen when Trump finally crushes the Deep State. pic.twitter.com/TbcOsbo4f3

“Remember, the pc is always willing to reveal. He or she doesn’t know What to reveal. Therein lies the difficulty. Pcs get driven out of session when asked to reveal something yet do not know what to reveal. By the auditor’s saying ‘There’ or ‘What’s that?’ quietly each time the needle reacts newly, the pc is led to discover what should be revealed. Auditors and pcs get into a games condition in Integrity Processing and rudiments only when the auditor refuses this help to the pc.” — L. Ron Hubbard, 1972

“All this of course is, is, I’m just, I’m just kidding you mostly. I don’t believe that you’ve been in the universe seventy-six trillion years. I don’t believe you have any past before birth. I don’t believe that there’s any reason whatsoever for this universe to be here except that some fellow called the devil or something that built it. Uh, I don’t believe any of these things. And I don’t want to be agreed with about them. It infuriates me to be agreed with about them, so I’m not asking for anybody to agree with me. But I’m not asking for anybody to disagree with me either.” — L. Ron Hubbard, December 1, 1952

Overheard in the FreeZone

“I used to wonder what if I accidentally ended up in a female body next time around. Oh my god, I couldn’t act like a woman, that’s just not me. Would I also solve this with a sex change or just turn dyke? Well into Solo NOTs, that’s no longer a concern, as these considerations on gender-beingness and identity have gone out the window since and I no longer have any issues or concerns which one I end up with, as I would be comfortable now operating whichever lot fell my way. It’s really just a matter of willingness to assume a beingness and take responsibility for it which I previously would have rejected as … ugghh, puke. I’m pretty sure Bruce Jenner could have been contented with his sex and accepted it for what it is had he gone up the Bridge instead of under the knife. Psych alter-is = complications, non-comprehensibles = professionals trained in the schools of false data = MONEY, STATUS. Who’d wanna mess with a such a good thing? Forgettingness is part of aging. It has to do with shedding responsibility for the stuff of this lifetime. I’m not saying it’s inevitable; I’m just saying that it’s common out in the world. One thing that can happen: thetan goes along, and lifetime after lifetime, he lives to about the same age. He gets used to that. Now along comes a lifetime where he’s surpassing that age. But he starts to experience the symptoms of aging at the time he would normally be dying, even though he’s nowhere near dying this lifetime. Habit. Interesting comment about the body remembering what the thetan isn’t paying attention to. I often wondered about that. I rather suspect the GE has its own bank going on. I think maybe the GE records everything, but I’m (thetan) more selective. I tend to draw a blank during times of injury, and it’s not from being engrammically anaten; rather, I tend to exteriorize when the body is about to get hurt (when I don’t prevent the injury in the first place), because I don’t like or want to experience the pain. The GE probably gets it full force, but I don’t.”

Past is Prologue

2001: The Riverside Press-Enterprise reported that Scientology is shooting a movie at Gold Base, near Hemet, California. “A booming cannon shoots toward a row of cottonwood trees on the lush, grassy fields of 17th-century France. Fifteen minutes later, the fire lands among a cluster of charging soldiers wearing goatees, creamy white cravats and feathers in their hats. Three of them drop. Then they get up and try it again. When it’s finished, Golden Era Productions will have an educational video showing how war never solves mankind’s real problems. Golden Era Productions, located in Gilman Hot Springs northwest of San Jacinto, makes educational and training films for the Church of Scientology. Staff members who work on the 520-acre site do everything from sewing costumes to acting and filming. The film will be used for educational purposes in Scientology churches all over the world.”

Trump chooses QAnon fan Patel to head FBI, libturd Dumbocrats in the crosshairs

Some links to Q-related items today

Advertisement(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Patel is a hardcore sycophant and conspiracy theorist who is deeply enmeshed in the right wing grift-o-sphere. He would absolutely use the FBI as a hammer to squash anyone who Trump points him at. https://t.co/dxB7YaUs0o

— Mike Rothschild (@rothschildmd on blu sky) (@rothschildmd) December 1, 2024

The common denominator for most of Trump's cabinet picks so far is "smarmy weirdo up to their neck in right wing conspiracy paranoia who has no qualifications other than licking Trump's boots."

— Mike Rothschild (@rothschildmd on blu sky) (@rothschildmd) December 1, 2024

If Kash Patel is confirmed as FBI director, the FBI will go from briefly investigating in 2018 the identity of Q regarding the possible federal crime of "false personation of a federal official" to in 2025 it being led by someone who's praised QAnon. https://t.co/KVCxA1sBDC https://t.co/oUXMW1z8qx

— Alex Kaplan (@AlKapDC) December 1, 2024

Trump can fire Wray on/after Jan. 20, 2025.

Once official, Kash Patel can serve as interim FBI Director, sans any Senate confirmation, for about 200 days. https://t.co/cMPEtLGkyL

— Zachary Cohen (@ZcohenCNN) December 1, 2024

“Even among Trump loyalists, Patel is widely viewed as a controversial figure and relentless self-promoter whose value to the president-elect largely derives from a shared disdain for the so-called deep state.” https://t.co/Vu3cwRyxrd

— Sean Lyngaas (@snlyngaas) December 1, 2024

I did a deep dive into Kash Patel back when I was at MSNBC, in case you’re interested. He’s a deeply strange and alarming and sycophantic figure (do you all know about the children’s book?)https://t.co/Awjrdip1aA

— Mehdi Hasan (@mehdirhasan) December 1, 2024

NEW: Donald Trump hasn’t said a word since the election about his intent to pardon Jan. 6 defendants. It’s prompted some anxiety among supporters and a raging debate about his intentions. https://t.co/nYLgJlVcn7 pic.twitter.com/7adhUmvtHI

Past is Prologue

2000: Critics of Scientology held protests in Clearwater this week to mark the anniversary of the death of Lisa McPherson. From the St. Petersburg Times: “Members of the Church of Scientology stayed out of sight Saturday during a day long demonstration downtown by church critics. By noon, about 30 protesters had gathered across the street from the church’s Fort Harrison Hotel with anti-Scientology T-shirts, camcorders and picket signs with messages critical of the church. It was largely a subdued event with sporadic moments of loud noise when protesters roused passers-by to honk their car horns and one critic brought a boom box with Queen’s We Will Rock You blasting. Clearwater police officers were stationed along Fort Harrison Avenue and near the entrance of the Fort Harrison Hotel, an area that a Thursday injunction designated as off-limits to picketers. Authorities reported no trouble at the demonstration. ‘It’s all been very peaceful, very quiet,’ said Lt. Don Hall, commander of the downtown officers. ‘We’ve not had to seriously reprimand anyone on either side.’ A banner hanging on the hotel read, ‘The Church of Scientology wishes you a happy holiday season!’ Rather than react to the protest, church members instead focused on their holiday events, such as the all-day bazaar on Cleveland Street, said spokesman Ben Shaw. He questioned the point of the protest, and noted that each year it appears to shrink. ‘Normally, you have a protest to communicate to the public a message, but their intention is to try and annoy our church members,’ Shaw said. ‘Our church members want to be here, so it’s kind of a pointless game.’ Protesters, who came from around the country and Europe, had different reasons for being there. Mark Dallara, 29, of Tampa, said he participates because he is a ‘free speech advocate.’ Tory Christman, 53, of California said she left the church only four months ago after 30 years as a member. She stood on the sidewalk wearing red devil horns and carrying a cardboard megaphone. ‘When you get out and you get the whole thing, you’re like, What was I thinking?’ Christman said. ‘I know the people inside are brainwashed and they’re laughing at me. But to me, the truth is, I’m free. I can do what I want. I can say what I want.'”

On Black Friday, Scientology has yet another way it wants your money!

TODAY AT SUBSTACK: If you’ve signed up for free emails at Substack, you will receive today’s feature story at your inbox: Black Friday is here, and you probably have a long list of gifts to work on. But we’re also reflecting on Scientology’s workers, who slave away for pennies. A new call for cash inside the church has us thinking about their plight. ALSO: A holiday message from Mike Rinder! [What is this Substack thing, anyway?]

Technology Cocktail

“Egocentric man believes all wisdom is wound up in knowing his misdemeanors. IF any wise man represents himself as wise and fails to discover what a person has done, that person goes into an antagonism or other misemotion toward the wise man. So they hang those who restimulate and yet who do not find out about their withholds. This is an incredible piece of craziness. But it is observably true.” — L. Ron Hubbard, 1972

“Every thetan is, unless he’s knocked flat out — you know, unless he’s been eating some of the recent food preservatives — this fellow is operating to some degree, even if he’s just an effect. You see, he’s, he still can put out an impulse. See, he’s mostly effect, but he can put out a little bit of an impulse, see? Well, actually that would be an interiorized thetan who was very wog. And the word ‘wog,’ of course, is in essence a ‘worthy oriental gentleman’ as been defined by the Royal Air Force. There’s nothing derogatory in being called a wog. As a matter of fact, that was the source of a general order issued in Egypt on the complaint of the Egyptian government. The air force officers were calling Egyptians wogs. So the commanding officer defined it. And he said, well, wog, that means ‘worthy oriental gentleman,’ and insisted his officers use it. Those were in the days when the Empire wasn’t dead! Anyway, this means a common, ordinary, run-of-the-mill, garden-variety humanoid. And a garden-variety humanoid means a person who has human characteristics. By which we define not that he is human in his treatment of things, he isn’t. It’s simply that he is a body, he is a body.” — L. Ron Hubbard, November 29, 1966

Overheard in the FreeZone

“Don’t forget that an infant or toddler has just recently been through the potentially traumatic experience of dying, depending particularly on how s/he died, and need time to sort this out and get some distance from it. Studies of children who recall a past life seem to generally find young children who are old enough to have developed some verbal skills and some distance from that experience. I think LRH mentioned this, too. Thus they need kindness and safety, not evaluation and invalidation.”

Past is Prologue

1999: LA Weekly published an article this week on a campaign to have newspapers and magazines carry quotations from L. Ron Hubbard. “‘Affection could no more spoil a child than the sun could be put out by a bucket of gasoline.’ Don’t go looking for this maxim in your Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations – but you just might find it in your local newspaper, courtesy of Scientology. The IRS-designated religion has been mailing out this and other pearls from the lips of founder L. Ron Hubbard to newspaper ‘Quote of the Week’ sections. The Hubbardisms address Morals (‘The
criminal accuses others of things which he himself is doing’), Problems (‘Any problem, to be a problem, must contain a lie’) and, in a masterpiece
of mixed metaphor, Marriage (‘Communication is the root of marital success from which a strong union can grow, and noncommunication is the rock on
which the ship will bash out her keel’). They run above the tagline ‘L. Ron Hubbard, one of the most acclaimed and widely read authors of all time.’ (Hubbard was a science-fiction writer.) Hubbard public-relations director Kaye Conley says the quotes have appeared in 80 publications, including the Orchard News (Nebraska), Clayton Today (Oklahoma), and the Stratford Star, Iraan News, and Talihina American (all of Texas). ‘I’m not saying they’re big, huge papers,’ Conley says. ‘They don’t have to be to be popular.’ Iraan News editor Clara Greer says her paper (circulation 900) printed ‘everything that I got’ during the two-month-old Scientology P.R. campaign. ‘One of our customers didn’t appreciate reading them. The Hubbard P.R. machine has been busy. An article on the P.R. News Wire this month spoke of some ‘interesting new insights’ into the subject of memory found in the Hubbard bestseller Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. ‘Never has our society been hit with so much devastation. We’re trying to do something about it,’ Conley says. ‘We just use the quotes as filler to fill our little holes,’ shrugs newspaper editor Driver.”

“I don’t know exactly how to get this across to you except to ask you to be brave, squint up your eyes and plunge. I don’t appeal to reason. Only to faith at the moment. When you have a reality on this, nothing will shake it and you’ll no longer fail cases or fail in life. But, at the moment, it may not seem reasonable. So just try it, do it well and day will dawn at last. What are these natterings, upsets, ARC Breaks, critical tirades, lost students, ineffective motions? They are restimulated but missed or partially missed withholds. If I could just teach you that and get you to get a good reality on that in your own auditing, your activities would become smooth beyond belief.” — L. Ron Hubbard, 1972

Past is Prologue

1998: Lyon Capitale, a French news weekly, published an article on Scientology cases in France, and harassment of critics. “While 23 of its members were before the criminal courts of Lyon, one for involuntary homicide, the others for fraud and abuse of trust, the Church of Scientology was highly visible in the streets of Lyon. Demonstrations, distribution of leaflets, open houses and public ceremonies: the Scientologists cultivated the appearance of victims through a vast PR campaign. The Scientologists convicted by the court saw their sentences reduced on appeal. While recalling that there had been fraud, the appeals court allowed the Church of Scientology to take advantage of being a ‘religion’, thus giving the cult a new opportunity to improve its public image. Today, the church has, it seems, closed its doors again. Sealed off from the world, the organization is showing itself to be more allergic than ever to criticism. When we asked for permission to take a few photos at the church in Lyon, we were dryly told: ‘No. I mean no. Don’t insist,’ with no further explanation. Currently under fire in the media, now that several elements of a case against the cult have disappeared from a court in Paris, ‘la Sciento’ has pulled into its shell. And gone onto the offensive. Lyon professor Paul Aries, a specialist on cult issues, knows something about it. His latest work, ‘Scientology: laboratory of the future’, published by Golias, wasn’t yet on sale when he received a letter from Scientology reminding him that that the texts of the founding guru
were protected by copyright, before threatening him with forgery. But Christian Terras, founder of the revue ‘Golias’, replied to the scienos that he would anyway publish the book. It’s a done deal since last week. Police, academics, and the investigating magistrate responsible for the inquiry into the suicide of a member in Lyon have all be subject to multiple intimidations. Journalistic inquiries such as Serge Flaubert’s ‘A Cult at the Heart of the Republic’ or Richard Behar’s article in Time magazine were the targets of lawsuits. The threats are sometimes physical. Since he started researching cults, Aies has been attacked several times, resulting in a dislocated shoulder. A meeting with senior police officials was canceled anonymously. His mail has been stolen. He has had to move house several times. ‘I can’t accuse anyone in particular’, he says, ‘I am filing charges against a John Doe’.”

“If you want to get withholds off an ‘irresponsible pc’ you sometimes can’t ask what the pc did or withheld and get a meter reaction. This problem has bugged us for some time; I finally got very bright and realized that no matter whether the pc thought it was a crime or not, he or she will answer up on ‘don’t know’ versions as follows: Situation: ‘What have you done to your husband?’ Pc’s answer, ‘Nothing bad.’ E-Meter reaction, nul. Now we know this pc, through our noticing she is critical of her husband, has overts on him. But she can take no responsibility for her own acts. But she can take responsibility for his not knowing. She is making certain of that. So we ask, ‘What have you done that your husband doesn’t know about?'” — L. Ron Hubbard, 1972

“Let’s start back a little further, where you will find quite a few PCs. And that is the Marcab, or the Big Dipper area of this particular galaxy, which received the immigration from another galaxy into this galaxy, and which set up a society which kept going for a very, very long time — a society which is something on the order of about 208,000 years back on the track. Now, that period rather ended and ceased and desisted for that particular society somewhere about 10,000 years ago. So you see, that is a long, rough society. Well now, oddly enough, people went out of that society as thetans and came back into it again. So you get that society, the Marcab society, punctuated with lives spent in completely unidentified, Lord-knows-where planets. And you get such odd things, you know, as fish people. You know? Well, where did they come from? Who are they?” — L. Ron Hubbard, November 27, 1959

Avast, Ye Mateys

“MISUNDERSTOOD NIXON: Imagine my surprise and hilarity to find that President Nixon is pursuing current economic policies because of a misunderstood word…The word ‘inflation’ is being used in a mis-defined definition by the Administration. All this Wage-Price freeze that Nixon has been putting on is because he thinks the word ‘inflation’ is caused by and means ‘prices increasing.’ He and his beer hall buddies publicly state that ‘the rate of increase in prices is synonymous with the rate of inflation.’ Therefore, all one has to do is freeze wages and one will cure inflation…Looking over this literature I see that when I studied economics at Princeton University I came to some conclusions which were so obvious to me that I thought they were a part of the textbooks…Anyway, the economic trouble we are handling and our hard work to survive and remain viable is being made necessary because of a misunderstood word.” — The Commodore, November 27, 1971

Overheard in the FreeZone

“I have experienced the overwhelm that OT3 handles, and it is not pleasant and it invalidates the state of Clear. So I have a firsthand knowledge of what Ron says when he says Clears are at risk. I’m not saying this to frighten Clears or Preclears reading this, mine was, hopefully, an unusual sort of case that got handled on OT3 and then the Nots auditing knocked it out of the park and resultant freedom and relief from those levels are hard to describe. I have met and seen on TV those classified as insane, and it’s obvious that many are in a total dramatization of the OT3 phenomena. For psychiatrists to then drug or shock them, lays in the engram on top of that pitiful state, so I tend to be understanding when Ron gets a tad critical of the psychiatric profession as even well done objectives will do much to help them. I just wanted to comment to those out there wandering whether to keep going or not. Do!”

Past is Prologue

1997: Scientology issued a press release this week attacking the Channel 4 documentary on L. Ron Hubbard. “The Church of Scientology condemns as ‘journalistic terrorism’ the vicious rendition by Channel Four’s ‘Secret Lives’ of a purported ‘biography’ of L. Ron Hubbard, the Founder of Scientology and Dianetics. The program is the most contemptible form of tabloid disinformation and reeks of journalistic deceit and immorality. Boxes of factual information and documents disproving the lies of their sources were provided to 3BM, the independent company that produced the show, its director Simon Berthon and its producer Jill Robinson. The producers were offered an interview with L. Ron Hubbard’s official biographer, Mr. Dan Sherman, which they ignored. All of it was rejected in creating a programme dripping with bias, lies and a disreputable parade of self-serving and discredited sources. Through our own news journal, we are investigating how this atrocious programme came to be aired and we have uncovered the sordid tactics used by 3BM’s Jill Robinson and Simon Berthon.”

Random Howdy

“In ‘Road To Xenu’ Margery Wakefield recounts sitting around in the Sea Org cafeteria watching Star Trek and they were laughing because the wogs didn’t realize that the stuff on the screen was the writer’s suppressed whole track memories. Hubbard said somewhere that science fiction, if not all fiction, was whole track memories unbeknownst to its authors.”
