Vampiraz4Life is now finished
A short announcement for my STRAIGHT OUTTA FANGTON fans. I have completed VAMPIRAZ4LIFE, the third and final novel of Peter Stone's adventures. I am very pleased by this one and I have already sent it out to my editor. Thanks to everyone who has been waiting patiently for this one.
It's been a rough year for Peter Stone.
Vampires are not meant to be quarantined and most of the nation is under lockdown. It has been extra hard in the city of New Detroit that depends on tourism not only for its econo...

Mindfracked (Cassidy #1) by M.R. Forbes review

MINDFRACKED by M.R Forbes is a cyberpunk spy thriller that involves a body-switching science fiction consciousness named Cassidy. Cassidy is a Shade, a secret agent of a department called Unity that sends them out on highly covert missions that will end after they finish their 50th case. It is a group with a policy of absolutely no loose ends and that includes killing anyone who is even slightly aware of the group's existence. Cassidy thinks he has it all figured out but soon discover...

Tropical Punch (Bubbles in Space #1) by S.C. Jensen book review

BUBBLES IN SPACE: TROPICAL PUNCH is a discovery for a jaded cyberpunk fan like myself. It is a surprisingly lighthearted story despite the noir elements it posses as well as its techno-dystopian setting that manages to absolutely bleed neon from every pore. It is also a book that I not only finished in a single day but proceeded to immediately buy the rest of the series of when I finished it. Bubbles is a fantastic heroine and its a ridiculous but well-developed mystery that she's fou...

Watch_Dogs: Legion review

WATCH_DOGS: LEGION is the third installment of the popular WATCH_DOGS franchise and my favorite of the Ubisoft video game series. I'm a huge cyberpunk fan and the idea of doing present-day cyberpunk with a dark and gritty edge attracted me to the adventures of Aiden Pearce. I also enjoyed the more lighthearted and amusing adventures of Marcus Holloway in the sequel but was hoping that they'd manage to strike a balance in the third game. To an extent they did but the third game has its flaws...

House of the Rising Gun review

THE HOUSE OF THE RISING GUN by Brian Parker is the fourth installment of the Easytown series that I an exceptionally fond of. The premise is in the near-future, New Orleans has regained its reputation as a place of debauchery with a cyberpunk twist. If you want to be robot, cyborg, or human prostitutes then this is the place for it. Designer drugs and virtual reality fantasies are alongside the more traditional stuff. Detective Zach Forrest has Easytown as his beat and struggles to stay ahea...

Vampire: The Masquerade: Out for Blood review

OUT FOR BLOOD is the second Choice of Games text-based adventure for Vampire: The Masquerade. I really enjoyed NIGHT ROAD and felt it was an exceptionally well-written game that managed to capture the majority of things I liked about the setting. I generally prefer visual novels but was willing to make an exception due to the nature of the text. Amusingly, I managed to get sent a review copy right as I was about to buy it and instead bought my best friend and co-author a copy.
So, ...

Battle Ground (Dresden Files #17) by Jim Butcher review

BATTLE GROUND by Jim Butcher is the immediate sequel, perhaps better described as second half, to the novel PEACE TALKS released earlier this year. The book was originally one enormous volume but due to the lengthy wait between previous books and the size of the final work, it was split into two. If you haven't read Peace Talks then you should probably shy away from this review as it's impossible to talk about this volume without addressing some of the plot points from its predecessor...

Ghost Dance Judgement (Golgotha #4) review

I've very much enjoyed the Golgotha series and am very glad that I picked it up. I've since devoured all four books in the series and am eagerly looking forward to it continuing. If it were to end here, though, it would be a pretty good place to stop it. I am glad it returned to the Old West after the break for QUEEN OF SWORDS that, while I liked it, took it away from the setting I enjoyed.
The premise is that a young Native American girl, Izusa, has decided t...

Behind Blue Eyes by Anna Mocikat review

BEHIND BLUE EYES by Anna Mocikat is a independent cyberpunk novel. It is a story that draws on dystopian science fiction tropes as well as puts the author's own spin on the subject. It also incorporates the journey of its heroine from being a pawn of a corrupt system to being her own woman, finding out along the way that you can't trust anyone even if they seem to be the good guys. A lesson that she learns multiple times with increasing bitterness.
The premise is that in the distant futu...
