My Review of Rikke Dehli's Behold - A Poetry Collection

Read March 3 2018This budding poet has everything it takes, her poems are swift, concise, intriguing, they make you stop and wonder, think, pause a moment. Her word choice is great, the flow near perfect, the cadence clear as a voice nearby. The poetry collection deals with heartache, loss, love, purpose, belief in yourself and hope. I don't get enough poetry to review, so am always pleased when right out the gate an author strikes it, great job Rikke! Amazon link

My Review of Eve Heidi Bine-Stock's The Beetle and the Berry

Read December 26 2017I enjoyed this super short read and the illustrations. Nice colors, happy, pleasant and uplifting. An intrepid little beetle finds food, and despite a few setbacks, succeeds. Arthur the beetle will teach children to think outside the box and try something a different way. Cute as can be.

My Review of AI E Boy's, The Adventures of Fawn, The Ona Pendulum

Read December 14 2017After reading book one in the series, I mistakenly expected this to follow the same tone. Books are not always what is expected and that is a good thing! That's what they are supposed to do, challenge us! The author crafted a very unique, complicated, and fascinating journey surrounding the beginnings of Santa Claus and friends. This book made me think, and my favorite part was Bunny's spunk, always a fun character. If you expect this to be like every other Christmas, or Santa book, it will wonderfully surprise you. So leave all expectations behind, grab a cup of hot cocoa and open the first page with a fresh mind.

My Review of Julia E. Clement's Dreamland

Read September 6 2017A wonderful story! A boy still grieving the loss of his father is helped along by unicorns, a dragon, and three friends. Together they go on many adventures, as step by step he develops confidence. I would like to see this become a series, and I feel it has a very unique twist to the use of imagination and dreams.

My Review of Jen Selinsky's Tails of Boots and Alley

Read September 4 2017A sweet little book about a family with two pet cats. The pictures are charming and well done. I liked the picture of the cat tree and the picture with Boots and Alley hiding from the open door. The story was simply pleasant and happy.

Amazing

Stunned and honored to have TWO five star reviews for Trust! In other news, we still have our jobs but otherwise have started conserving travel and gas usage. Crazy stuff here in Texas! As stated before I am donating all proceeds for Trust straight to Redcross. Donate to the Redcross!
