Officially a Published Author!

TODAY is a pretty big landmark for myself and the work of WaveGarden Arts as ‘The Adventures of August Winter And the Blackstone Academy’ is available in print for the first time ever! This represents years of work and I am beyond excited to finally be able to share it with the world. As of this very moment, no one outside of myself has read the finished version in exacting detail. And I invite you to be one of the first to check it out! Give it a read, see what you think! This is my first book and I learned an incredible amount from the process of crafting it.

Right now I am quite happy and flirting with a sense of accomplishment and a knowledge that ultimately this quest has only taken one step forward. But it is an absolute MONSTER step for me personally. One that I hope you’ll enjoy right along with me. The book is intended for an audience of ages eight and up and is chalk full of adventure, humors, and a playful look about growing up and going to boarding school.

This will hopefully be the first of many books and I absolutely can’t wait to hear from readers regarding their thoughts about the book. Will be writing more about ‘The Adventures of August Winter and the Blackstone Academy’ in the coming weeks and months. Just wanted to get this little blurb out there straight away to let everyone share in my excitement and to proclaim that… “I have finally finished my book!!!” hahaha.

Welcome to the new WaveGarden Arts Site

WAVEGARDEN ARTS’ new website is going live, starting about, now, haha. This new version was built to be mobile device and tablet friendly and I hope proves easy to navigate and use! Right now the setup for future growth is in place, the seeds have been planted and in time it will be blooming richly with content. Current sections include Books, Art, News, and About. Which are self-explanatory, and also slated to have additional materials added to them.

Wanted to give everyone a chance to see the new format that so far (knocks on keyboard) works on every browser and device that I have checked it with. Thanks for stopping by the website and expect some big news updates in the coming weeks! – CS

Fond Farewell for the Old WaveGarden Arts Website

DECEMBER 1st 2014 marks the final day for my original WaveGarden Arts website. It had a great run and encapsulated the internet era in which it was crafted. Built using Flash, it had the roll-over buttons, hand-animated graphics, rich colors, and a sense of style that was all its own. All the buttons and menus on the site were hand-drawn in colored pencil, and kept true to the aesthetic of the studio itself.

Here was the home page in all its glory, full of color, easy to navigate (I thought so at least, haha. And it handled a fair amount of traffic in its day. I actually did first try to replicate it exactly for this new incarnation of the website, but ended up going in a different direction. But that old site really was fantastic and this new one has a lot to live up to, haha. So tip of the hat old WaveGarden Arts website, you rocked!!
