My Friend Samantha...

Today is my good friend Samantha Waltz's birthday. If there was an angel on this earth it would be this woman. I can't even begin to thank her for rescuing my husband and I when we were in dire straights; she was our rock, our wind and we will love her forever because of it.

An amazing writer, Sam has so many stories in anthologies, that the last time I ask her how many, she couldn't remember. Her workshops are second to none. She is a professional down to her socks.

Happy birthday, Sam! May yo...

Leaving on a jet... train

When the train left yesterday with my darling son and his beautiful bride, the dams burst and I couldn't drive home. Had to have DH do it for me... You never know how much you're going to miss someone until they walk (or train) away. Am going to take a few days and just "be" until I can wash the sorrow out of my heart. It's bitter sweet since I know they are heading to the adventure of a lifetime and I'm so very proud of their accomplishments. Just can't seem to get the notion out of my head ...

To honor those wonderful men and women who have helped me and countless others on the way, I will be featuring some of their delicious books. Everyone one of these is a must read! Delilah Marvelle is a stunning beauty, funny, flirty, and just a little bit bawdy...

"A Valentine on Mt. Hood" in The Oregonian

Just wanted to let everyone know that my romance short, short "A Spark in the Snow" will be appearing in the Sunday Oregonian on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14th) in the Living Section. If you don't receive the paper, you can always read it on their online site at
