Seasonal Writing

A Small Confession
Before breakfast, and I'm groggy. Am glad I got a sunlamp-type thing, because seasonal weirdness is very much alive and well in this house.
But enough of that. I have a confession to make.

From Earrings To Book That Will Not Die
Five things make a post this Monday.
* I believe I have an essay in an upcoming SmartPop anthology from BenBella Books. It's titled Ardeur: Unauthorized Essays On Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter. And it's available for preorder on Amazon now. (Hat tip to Literary Escapism, I almost forgot about this essay.)
* I've taken to wearing hoop earrings again. They make me feel quite gypsy. It's a shame I can't wear gold.

Three Qualities A Writer Needs
First, the news! My regular readers will remember the Selkie[1:], my trusty beta and the other half of my writer-brain. Green Again
First, the news: Jackie Morgan over at Literary Escapism found out that Jealousy, the third Strange Angels book, is now listed on Amazon. I found it at Barnes & Noble too, but there's no preorder link just yet. So, yay! As far as I know the June release date is still solid.
I know my posts have been very short lately. I'm clawing my way back up out of the well, so I have little breath for blogging. (Mixed metaphor, much?) But things are better. Each day is a little bit better than the day...

A few more things, since I'm still tender today.
* Luck is a skill. This makes sense–the luckier I feel, the luckier I am. Maybe I should grab Wiseman's book and give it a go. It'd be better than sitting around feeling unloved, unwanted, and waaaaaaaah. (Much better.)

Five Things Make A Post

Getting Better
Some days it's an uphill battle. But each day is a little bit better than the one before. I feel like I'm lying spread out on some very thin ice. I am no longer drowning, but the rescue attempt is not underway yet. If I stay too long I'll freeze, but I can't move just yet because the ice might crack.
