One Night of Passion Book Giveaway
Hello all!
Now that my stream of deadlines are complete, I’m gearing up for several fun book releases. Wicked Burn re-releases in mass market paperback on May 1. Now would be a good time to pick it up at 7.99 for that friend you want to turn on to erotic romance. :)
Bound to You, a One Night of Passion novella, releases on June 5 as a Berkley especial. It all takes place in Rill’s and Katie’s world in the quirky little town of Vulture’s Canyon. Here’s the new cover copy!
Darkness can arouse the senses.
Bound to You by Bethany Kane
A One Night of Passion Novella
John Corcoran loved the isolation of the Shawnee National Forest with the crisp spring air, the sounds of nature, and the bracing scent of pine. Isolation is what movie star Jennifer Turner craved as well, an escape that only a weekend hike, a long and blissful distance from Hollywood, could provide.
Yesterday, they were strangers—until a fateful accident, deep in the forest and far from civilization, throws them together and plunges them both into darkness. For Jennifer it is as unnerving as the night itself, trapped in such close quarters with a man as mysterious as John. He is alpha: bold, rough, and masculine, but with a scent of firewood and spice she finds intoxicating.
In the dark, Jennifer’s nightmares spring to life. The only way to vanquish them is by submitting to blind, naked need. Now, as intimately close as a man and a woman can be, they find themselves alone, battling fear and vulnerability. Only an unexpected passion will comfort them—a sensual, raw experience from which neither is certain they want to be rescued.

In October, Captured By You, also a One Night of Passion novella, involving diner owner Sherona Legion (from Addicted to You) and a very sexy Aussie playboy photographer releases as a Berkley e-special. All of this should get our appetites wet for the release of the second novel in the series, Exposed to You–Everett Hughes’ story.
Haven’t yet read Addicted to You, the book that started off the series? I’ll be giving away a copy of Addicted to You this week to one commenter, international entries okay. Already read it? Give away the signed copy to a friend!

Back from RT, with an RT bag full of goodies giveaway!
Hi all!
I’m back from the RT convention, which was tons of fun–until I came down with a killer flu bug and fever on Friday. :( No fun being sick and fevered in a hotel room.
Luckily, I got to hang out with some wonderful writers, friends, bloggers and readers before the sickness descended–Tracy Wolff and her awesome friend, YA author Emily McKay, Fiona Jayde, Lacey Savage, Julie James, Louisa Edwards, Laurie London, Cynthia Eden, Lea and Mary from the Happily Ever After blog…the list goes on! So great catching up with everyone and meeting new friends. RT is always great for that.
So guess what I have to give away to one commenter–a fully loaded RT bag! It’s the bag all conference holders get, filled with fun author promo items and books! (I’ll also be including a few of my own books). Next best thing if you couldn’t make it to the conference.
So just answer this question and qualify to win the RT bag of goodies!
If you went to a romance conference, who would you want to meet?

Life is rough when you're gorgeous, rich, talented and so sexy that the media won't leave you alone.
It's certainly the truth in Christian Lasher's case. He returns to the neighborhood of his childhood to escape the spotlight, hungering for a change in his creative endeavors. In the midst of his soul searching he meets Megan and is captured by the tantalizing hint of her hidden fires. Megan knows nothing about his wild, rebellious youth or his career as a rock star—and Christian would prefer to keep it that way.
There was much, much more to her than the role of a fragile victim.
Megan Shreve is a sculptor with creative depths and passions that tragedy had forced into the shadows. When she looks into Christian's eyes she sees herself for the first time as an exciting, sexy woman. She longs to discover more of herself in Christian's arms and in his bed.
Two passionate souls destined for one another—unless the stifling roles imposed by tragedy and fame rip them apart.

New Cover! Exposed to You!
Good news! I have the new cover for EXPOSED TO YOU, the second novel in the One Night of Passion series under the pen name Bethany Kane!
This is Everett's story. I went into major "FACE OFF" mode for it, since the heroine is a special effects make-up artist. What do you think?
EXPOSED TO YOU–Book 2 in the One Night of Passion series
Losing control is just the beginning…
"What would you do if the sexiest man in the world was bent on bringing you unbearable pleasure again and again? Joy Hightower wasn't sure she could survive the experience…or live without it."
It's not often you're hired to paint a body tattoo—and what a body—on a total stranger at a Hollywood film set. A reserved and careful art teacher, Joy would never forget it. In a rare fit of raw desire she gave herself completely, knowing she'd never see him again, or ever repeat such a shameless, naked impulse.
Little did she know, the man with whom she shared that lightning bolt of lust was star Everett Hughes. For Everett, women and sex came as easily as fame. But how could he hope to convince the guarded Joy that beneath the hard body and sexy façade of celebrity was a real man who wanted only one, real woman?
In the heat of an intoxicating affair, Everett endeavors to break down her barriers, gain her trust, and expose himself as the real deal. But can Joy do the same, and reveal to him the vulnerable woman who longs to be loved, wanted, and desired forever?

Grade A Review for Claiming Colleen and a book giveaway!
Hi all! The paperback version of Claiming Colleen, the third book in the Home to Harbor Town series comes out today! Look for it at your local store or supermarket!
Check out this Grade A review of Claiming Colleen at The Good, The Bad, and the Unread!
Beth Kery has kept all the characters in this series strong as always and very active in the storyline in Book 3 of Home to Harbor Town. For a family that is so torn apart, they really stick together. This story is as well written as the other two, and I am looking forward to Book 4… (the rest here)
Also, I blogged at the Good, the Bad and the Unread about Love and Tragedy, and the Home to Harbor Town series. Leave a comment to qualify to win your choice of two Home to Harbor Town signed books, including Claiming Colleen.
Have a great week!

Is there a time limit on falling in love?
I pondered that question as I finished up EXPOSED TO YOU, the next novel in the One Night of Passion series (writing as Bethany Kane) coming out in November of this year.
My hero, Everett Hughes, is one of the most brilliant of the superstars in Hollywood. He can have any woman he wants, but despite this, he feels he's been cursed in the 'love' department. Family and friends mean everything to him. Because of an extremely stable, loving upbringing, he's escaped the pitfalls that can come with the double-edge sword of fame. But part of him thinks he's been too blessed. Perhaps fate plans to rob him of the one thing that's even more important to him than his career–a woman and a family to call his own.
When he sees Joy Hightower, he falls almost immediately for her. He also worries that things won't work out–because how can it be possible to win some kind of colossal cosmic lottery as far as his career and wealth, and ALSO be blessed with the perfect woman? And Joy has her own demons she needs to fight before he can convince her that's he's the real deal, not just the one-dimensional figure on a movie screen.
As I was writing the book, I sort of struggled with the issue of how fast Everett fell. However, I do think that's just how it happens sometimes. Whether I believe in love at first sight, I don't know precisely. I can tell you I fell pretty darn fast–and hard–for my husband. Seventeen years later, I can safely say that instinct was absolutely correct.
Does it ever bother you when you read a romance novel when someone professes their love after knowing the person say…a couple weeks? Aside from romance novels, do you think it happens in real life that people fall that hard and fast, and it turns out not to be an infatuation, but the sweet real deal?

News and Books on Sale!
Happy New Year, everyone!
I know, you might have thought I fell off the face of the earth, but here I am. In fact, I have a lot of deadlines up through April, and I'm really having to do what we authors do–write. :) I'm currently crafting away on the second book in the One Night of Passion series–Everett's story, along with two short novels in the same series to be released as Berkley Especials. Look for the first of those–Bound to You–late spring or early summer, the other this fall, and Everett's story (as yet unnamed) this November.
In other news, Claiming Colleen–the third book in the Home to Harbor Town series, is out at the end of next month (technically March 1, but it will hit stores earlier). I just got my box of author books for CC, and I'm so excited! I hope you'll check out Colleen's and Eric's story. Here's the books in the box–always fun for an author to get these.
I have been noticing that several of my books are on sale, and I want to pass on good prices to readers.
