PASS THE WORD NOT THE BOOK!
Today a chick came into store and I introduced her to my books...Her response "Oh, my girfriend at work got it and i'm waiting for her to finish. We pass books around the office all the time." My response " You can buy right now, two for one" Her Response "I'mma come back and get it." You know when someone is lying to you. She was.....Come on people, what's wrong with this picture. Why can't we support each other. I'm all for sharing, but come on now. You got like 15-20 in your office and ya'll can only afford to buy one copy to pass around. SMH. Your bootlegging my work and i am supposed to be happy about it. Not. I get this response all the time people all time. I really don't mind if you share it with A person, but you crossing the line with the double digits. I am trying to be cool about this writing stuff with the economy being the way it is, but when i see you with a 300 dollar purse and you say you passing my book around it blows me. And not in a good way. I am not angry. I'm more disappointed than anything. So again, PASS THE WORD, NOT THE BOOK. AND A SAVE A LIFE...LOL!

Both Sides of the Fence 3: Loose Ends -Synopsis

The marriage of Mona and Shawn Black was dominated by infidelity and lies. Now the drama that nearly tore them apart seems to have passed on to the next generation. Their children, Alex and Ashley, are in their second year at UCLA, and life is not simple for either one of them. Now that he knows Shawn Black is not his biological father, Alex is busy searching for the identity of his birth father. Unbeknownst to him, his sister Ashley seems to have inherited a destructive trait from this mystery man—using people’s secrets to get what she’s unwilling to work hard for. After the death of his lover, Wallace Andrews returns to California. He’s on a mission to reconcile with the family that threw him out when he was eighteen, as well as to uncover information about his deceased partner. Who was the real James Parks, and why did he come to such an untimely demise? Wallace discovers shocking secrets that reveal a connection with James that he never knew he had. College professors Grace and David Andrews are a married couple keeping secrets from each other. This is no run-of-the-mill marital infidelity, though. David doesn’t know that his someone-on-the-side shares a painful link to Grace’s past. If the truth is revealed, it could send everyone down a path to certain devastation. One man has had a hand in the fate of every one of these characters. His actions have resulted in the dismemberment of three families. Now that the loose ends have begun to unravel, will any of them be able to pull their lives back together?

I'm starting to hate the words 'Realistic' and 'Normal'
I'm starting to hate the words 'Realistic' and 'Normal' especially in book reviews( and not just in my book reviews). What makes a story Believable? The fact that you can or cannot see it happen? That would imply that you are everywhere and knew everybody.
What's really going on in your neighbors house? How would you know if you only lived in your house? your block? your neighborhood? your small corner of the world?
What do people say about you when you are out of their presence? You don't know because you are not there.
How would you know if you weren't there or you just read about it?
Oh let's not forget the almighty 'Far-fetched'. People would be surprised by what they don't see or know. The truth is most people only go by what they can see or fathom. If it is remotely out of the reach of plausiblity then it didn't happen or could have. right? Not!
That is what is wrong with the world now. Seeing is not always believing. It can happen without you knowing about or believing.
As a person who reads and writes books. I don't write the norm because nothing is normal. Only what YOU see is normal. Somebody else's normal is totally different. What if that author was afraid to wright an autobiographical account of things for fear of retaliation. How do you know that you are not getting the 'lite' version of a small piece of someones life. You don't!
Judging a book, page, scene, chapter on believability may set you up to miss that very thing going on in someone you know's life.
Do you really know if that last book you read was true or not or if it was all a lie. Simply putting fiction on don't qualify it as that it just covers up some hidden truths.
So....Readers, Reviewers, Realist(ugh), Authors, Writers, Poets, People.
What is really real, normal, or far-fetched?
The truth is you may never know your neighbors' real or normal, becasue most of the time you are doing you.
Just something to think about.
Blanket statements:
No one would be that stupid right? What is everybody born smart with everything well put together like you?
That could never happen. So you have seen everything?
That has never happened. yeah okay! you keep believing that.
to be continued.....
