Sir Charles Hubert Hastings Parry (1848-1918) was an English composer, teacher and historian of music. He was knighted in 1898.

In the autumn of 1918 Parry contracted Spanish flu during the global pandemic and died at Knightscroft, Rustington, West Sussex, on 7 October aged 70.
