Dark Lane Anthology Volume 9 now available

Hello readers!

The latest volume of Dark Lane Books’ annual anthology is now available on Amazon! Paperbacks are expected to be available at the end of July.

My short story “The Dissolution of the Species” is featured in this volume. I’m very excited to be finally sharing the story with the world!

Camp NaNoWriMo 2020: Time to Revisit Old Stories

Its April, which means its time for Camp NaNoWriMo! Camp NaNoWriMo takes place in April and July, and its much more flexible than the November one (where the goal is to write 50,000 words in 30 days). You can write as much (or as little!) as you want, and you can write short stories, nonfiction, or even edit a project.

This month, Ive decided to revisit a first draft of a psychological thriller that I wrote during National Novel Writing Month in 2017. I completed the first draft, and I have a...

I signed a book deal!

My genre-blending supernatural thriller has found a home! The Shadow Knows will be published by CamCat Books in Fall of 2021.

This novel started as a kernel of an idea that came to me in a dream after binge-watching a bunch of Hitchcock films, including one of my favourites, Rear Window. Anyone who knows me knows that Ive always been obsessed with ghosts, so of course I found a way to combine my two loves into a book-length project. I wrote this during my first ever NaNoWriMo in 2015, and I...

I will now be terrifying the next generation…

I will no longer be only regaling adults with my stories. My spooky tale Aunt Agathas Antiques has been accepted in the second volume of Mother Ghosts Grimm! The anthology, which is geared towards children aged 7-12, will be released mid-April. You can buy a copy of the first volume on Amazon.

My story revolves around a girl and her younger brother who are walking home from soccer practice when they spot a store on Main Street that theyve never seen before. Aunt Agathas Antiques seems...

Short Story Accepted in Dark Lane Books Volume 9

I have thrilling news for the new year! My literary, weird short story The Dissolution of the Species has been accepted for publication in Dark Lane Books annual anthology. Volume 9 will be released late summer/early fall 2020.

One of my New Years Resolutions is to write and submit more short stories in 2020. My goal is to make 50 short story submissions. I like having the goal being the submissions, not being accepted, because publishing is such a subjective business, and its more mentally...

Eerie Christmas on sale now!

If youre like me, you love Christmas, but you find a lot of the books and movies and TV specials are just a little too wholesome. You need some darkness mixed in with the Christmas lights and some blood spattered across your candy canes.

When I saw the call for stories for a Christmas horror anthology, I jumped at the opportunity. I had a lot of fun writing my short story Its that Time of Year, and hopefully the readers will have a lot of fun reading it! (And by fun, I mean that theyll bite...
