Val's most recent book series is the 'Alice and Trudy'.trilogy set in post WW2 England. Each of the three books is a light-hearted mystery, focussed on two friends working together with a group of seniors.

The first of the trilogy is 'Death and the Dear Doctor'. He's long on bedside manner and short on medical knowledge.

The second, due out in July, is 'Miss Harriet's Wedding'. The shyest, quietest of the seniors is to be married, if her greedy brother doesn't abduct her first.

The third, tentatively titled 'The Probable Son' is in progress currently and sees a potential killer getting his come uppance.

Val is the author of three novels about women in the time of the British Columbia gold rush.
