50 Years Ago Big Oil Bragged About Being Able To Melt Glaciers, While They Knew About Climate Change

Turns out Exxon (formerly Humble Oil) knew in the 1960s its product would melt the polar ice caps. That gives new meaning to its 1962 ad: “Each Day Humble Supplies Enough Energy To Melt 7 Million Tons Of Glacier!”
