Interesting Facts: Amazon Discounts ALWFD!

As with many things in publishing these days, this one's a head-scratcher but also pretty cool. Bigtime bookseller Amazon.com has discounted ALWFD for sale on their Kindle format.

Remember way back when we had our Disney Kindle Rush Sunday? Yep, well ALWFD (the first half of the book) has been on sale at Amazon ever since. Just kinda hanging out.

Well, now they've marked down the cost of the book to $1.99 instead of $2.99. But for every sale, I still get 70% of $2.99 which makes... $2.09! So... basically for every sale of ALWFD Amazon the giant loses ten cents!! Yee haw! Wanna help me stick it to 'em? Go on and get your copy now! Or tell someone else to. We'll make the giant come to its knees!

On another note, I'm working on getting the second half of the collection into ebook format and to even possibly have a PRINT EDITION by late summer. Stay tuned!

Interviewed by Jay Stringer for Do Some Damage

Today Jay Stringer and the good folks over at Do Some Damage podcast--a great collaborative blog effort that provides "an inside look at crime fiction"--have me on to talk about YOUNG JUNIUS. We cover its writing process, the influences, current crime fiction trends, and of course my rise to notoriety on the web due to my own podcasts.

Since you folks are certainly familiar with all of this, you might want to skip ahead here and there. But the opening is a gas.

Anyway, check it out!

Click here to download/listen to the interview.

Big thanks to Jay and to Steve Weddle for having me on! If you haven't already, head over to CrimeWAV episode 64 to hear Steve's story "Walkaways." Oh, you might also like the straight Do Some Damage blog, which is here.

Crimespree: "Required Reading"

YOUNG JUNIUS (Tyrus) is an urban western by Seth Harwood. Junius is a 14 year old on his own quest for vengeance and redemption. What looks from the outset to be a simple matter of track and shoot soon spirals out of control. With police and rival gangs out to get him Junius decides to stand instead of run and when all is said and done, his life is much different than when he started this path. Harwood has really captured the angst of a young man confused by what the world tells him and what the world is. Required reading. –Crimespree Magazine

Fab Fan Review of Young Junius!

Thanks to awesome Palms Momma™ Kate Sherrod (aka k8 aka Kate of Mind aka @katesherrod) who posted this review of Young Junius on her blog the other day.

Seth Harwood's YOUNG JUNIUS and the Problem with Prequels

I post about this not because she's mindlessly gushing (which I have to admit is nice), but because she's clearly put a lot of thought and consideration into my work and this review. Is she critical? Yes. No worries. For my part, it is AWESOME when someone's willing to compare the mythological implications of Young Junius and Junius's character arc in comparison to that of Jack Palms, I've got to love it! Want more? Read the full review here.

Here's the start: Prequels can be problematic.
