The 2012 April Write - Day 9

Welcome to Day 9 of the 2012 April Write – the Poets Jubilee Olympiad.

Over the Easter weekend, I’m pleased to see that some of our April Writers have managed to find a few quiet moments to themselves and have been hard at work catching up on days they’ve missed.

Your title and topic for Day 9 of the April Write (as suggested by group member Flowetic Justice) is:

Please watch the video below.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with in response.

Angee.

The 2012 April Write - Day 8

Welcome to Day 8 of the 2012 April Write – the Poets Jubilee Olympiad.

Today is a VERY special day. It’s a Free Verse day! Which means you are allowed to write a poem on whatever topic you feel a burning desire, need or inspiration to.

You may also continue on the same theme that another person has shared for today if you’d like to.

I hope you will have fun and really let loose with your creativity and share those poems you have been holding back so far this month.

But remember, no erotic poetry please, because we have a day reserved just for that, coming up soon!

Please watch the video and hear my piece called ‘My Little African Soul’

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3Vo4Y...

Day 8 of the April Write is a Free Verse Day, with no set topic to hold you back, post on this or any other theme you like.

The 2012 April Write - Day 7

Welcome to Day 7 of the 2012 April Write – the Poets Jubilee Olympiad.

Some of you may have found our Day 6 topic on injustice and racism, hard to write on or it’s taking longer than you thought to complete. You might have chosen not to share what you had penned, or found yourself hard pressed for time.

I understand that you will get too busy sometimes, so you can always catch up on days that you have missed at any time during the month of April.

Your title and topic for Day 7 of the April Write is “READING”

Please watch the video below.

(As you should be doing every day…)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3LUgz...

Then come back to the group and share with us why you read or why you might encourage others to do so.

For the start of our new 5 day Olympic week, we move into WATER events and our first Vent Friday.

Vent Friday’s are where you can write on what you are most passionate or angry about, to swim and dive into your deepest emotional depths.

As it’s a Vent Friday, please share your personal experiences or your thoughts and opinions on the subject of “Injustice and Racism”.

Less than 48hrs to the launch!

I spent today having some down-time. I took myself off to the nail salon and treated myself to a pedicure. It was great to be able to relax for a few hours and forget about the stress of organising the book launch event and finalising details and just chill.
With prettified feet I feel like a new me!
