This is how I communicate online.

Bloganuary writing promptIn what ways do you communicate online?View all responses

I woke up this morning thinking about two paths: AI (artificial intelligence) and SI (Supernatural Intelligence). Let Supernatural Intelligence (SI) release streams of living words that flow as rivers in your heart. Live an SI-powered life.

Human intelligence grows from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It is artificial and deceptive, but those who delight in the law (Supernatural Intelligence) of the Lord (not just study, analyze, or memorize it, but continually celebrate it in their heart and joyfully live it in their thinking, desires, behaviors, and relationships) experience a life of great blessings.

Humans have been using artificial intelligence since our beginning. It comes from the tree of our human knowledge and understanding. What we need is the tree of life — the Supernatural Intelligence of the inner flow of direct revelation from the living God.

You’re a natural on the outside, but you’re supernatural inside your mind and heart! You don’t have to look far to find the supernatural. Your consciousness is non-material reality.

When physical activity in your brain pops up as rational thought in your consciousness, that’s supernatural (and it happens all the time). Your consciousness is miraculous! (AI machines have no consciousness.) That means you are “awe-dible,” so go ahead and use the marvelous abilities that your Creator has downloaded into your mind and heart to hear and feel and be aware of His Supernatural Intelligence.

Your conscience is the app that God installed in you so that you can access His SI and remove the darkness from your heart. Human pride hinders our voice recognition ability so that we often don’t notice what God’s saying in our conscience. We need to focus on the present reality of the risen Jesus, not on artificial intelligence developed by human beings.

Let your heart become God’s chatbox. Ask Him a question and then listen to His Supernatural Intelligence. Surrender and subscribe your heart to ChatPRAY Plus and receive God’s Supernatural Intelligence throughout the day.

There’s nothing artificial about ChatPRAY. It involves sincerely and honestly opening your heart to listen to God.Use ChristChat. Search the innernet in your heart for the risen Jesus Christ. Login to His Presence and Supernatural Intelligence!

Act supernaturally! Be led by God’s Spirit. Let the living Jesus be your moment-by-moment guide. The risen Jesus is my Plugin! I strive to keep my heart continually connected to Him!

We can learn to rely
On the light of SI,
Supernatural Intelligence,
Direct ahas from God,
Insight that
Lifts high
The soul.

Sorority and Frat House Road Trip

Bloganuary writing promptThink back on your most memorable road trip.View all responses

I was one of six young men in a motor home to crisscross the Western United States for three months driving to fraternity and sorority houses. We sold personalized engraved stationary.

Arriving on a college campus we would each go to a different house and ask for a table to display our stationary. When students came to lunch or dinner, we would take orders. By doing this we made enough money to support our trip and to get to see many amazing sights. It was a wonderful experience (but there’s more).

All six of us were Jesus Freaks. We celebrated Jesus and rejoiced in His presence throughout each day. When we were showing our stationary, we encouraged people and told them about Jesus and His love. When they were willing, we would pray with them. We would leave lots of small fliers about Jesus everywhere we went and ask God to use them to turn people’s hearts to Him. We all had many powerful experiences of seeing the living Jesus working in and around us. When we came back together, we would excitedly tell each other about what we saw God do.

As we traveled the country during in the height of the Jesus Movement, everywhere we went we amazingly met and hung out with people who were excited about Jesus. On Saturday nights we would go to Full Gospel Business Men’s meetings that were happening all over the country. Churched and unchurched Christians (businesspeople and hippies) would gather in cities and small towns to worship, testify, and enjoy Jesus. One of the most thrilling things about those meetings was hearing the group sing loudly in tongues (languages they didn’t know).

We visited Jesus houses where Christians lived in Spirit-led community, rescue missions, revival centers, worship gatherings, Jesus-focused coffee houses, Christ-centered bookstores, Jesus rallies, and out-of-the-box churches. It was an amazing time of experiencing Holy Spirit innovation.

No snack is needed when life’s a feast.

Daily writing promptWhat snack would you eat right now?View all responses

Yeast For A Life-Long Inner Feast

When life’s a beast,
And anxiety attacks
People search for snacks,
Comfort foods to give them peace
But when life’s a feast,
Snacks are the least
Thing on their mind.
Jesus is like yeast.
He can make your life rise
To become an inner feast.

More Than A Religious Snack

Jesus is so much more
Than a religious snack
To weekly tack
On to Sunday morning.
He can set your life
On His glorious track
And bring you back
To child-like joy.

Go Beyond Religious Snacks To A Spirit-Led Life

The kingdom of God
Is Spirit-led life,
“The hope of glory,”
Christ living in you.

Let Jesus assemble
Spirit-led lives
So people can see
The body of Christ.

Come out of the darkness
And into the light
And Jesus will flood you
With His flow of insight.

The Business of Prophet-Making

Daily writing promptCome up with a crazy business idea.View all responses

Jesus as a boy said that He needed to be about His Father’s business. He was referring to completely surrendering to and obeying God the Father. Sound’s crazy, doesn’t it?

Christ’s business plan was prophet-making. He took common uneducated people and transformed them into prophetic men and women who listened to and obeyed God’s Spirit. Then by His living presence in them they “turned the world upside down.”

Contemporary Christianity should be about the Father’s prophet-making business. The Bible says, “You can all prophesy.” When people see Spirit-led action they become aware of Jesus. Be their light. Do what the Spirit prompts.

Jesus calls people into Spirit-prompted action which transforms them from being mere hearers of God’s word into doers of the word and demonstrators of His righteousness, His presence, and His love. That thirst deep inside you is for the living water of God’s Spirit. Come to Jesus and drink! Read the Bible, ask yourself: “Am I willing to let these words touch my heart?

A good travel lecture
Should inspire
An inner desire
For people to experience
The things described.
A good sermon
Should too.

Depending on
Someone to analyze
The Bible for you
Week after week,
Can paralyze
Your ability to hear
Directly from Jesus.
Read and devour it
And continually
Savor it in your heart
And you will start
To soar in God’s Spirit.

Christians need to meet
To put God’s Word
Into action
Not just to watch
A religious attraction.

Too much analysis
Creates the crisis
Of internal paralysis.

The picture I’ve never forgotten

Daily writing promptDescribe an item you were incredibly attached to as a youth. What became of it?View all responses

There was a picture in my family’s home that I have never forgotten. Although I don’t remember it ever hanging on a wall or being on display, it somehow became attached to my memory and will occasionally come across my mind.

I think that picture was mostly kept in a closet. If I remember correctly, my grandfather brought it to us as a gift. I remember that when I was very young, I first saw it when it was in the middle of a made-up bed, and it captured my attention. I stared at it and pondered it. It was like nothing I had ever seen.

It was an old picture in an antique curvy golden frame. The sky was full of dark clouds and a few people were looking up at a man who had been horribly tortured and was now dead. Nails were in his hands and feet, and he hung limply from a wooden beam supported by a wooden pole. Thorns were wrapped around his head and his body full of bloody wounds. A soldier with a spear was standing in front of a gaping hole in his body and blood was pouring out.

I didn’t understand that picture. Although my family wasn’t religious, I knew that the man in the picture was called Jesus, but I knew hardly anything about him. Yet, somehow, I felt a tender, heart-felt attachment to the picture. A few times I searched to find it in a closet so I could look at it. But I eventually forgot about it.

Years later as a freshman in college, although I was an agnostic, I walked into a meeting in my dorm where students were sharing how they had met Jesus and how he had changed their life. In an instant something I can’t explain happened in my heart and Jesus was suddenly real to me. He wasn’t dead in an old picture. He was living in my heart. Ever since that moment I have sought to focus on, listen to, and obey Jesus. He has walked with me and talked with me, and I have experienced what the Bible calls “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

I learned that that old picture portrayed the great love that God has for me (and for you). It showed how the Creator became a man in Jesus Christ and then suffered and died on the Cross to pay the penalty for my sins (and yours). As powerful as that picture was in my life, I have no idea what happened to it.

Official Christianity can easily become superficial but there’s nothing artificial about letting Jesus have full control of your heart. Listening to God requires patience, focus, and humility. It’s not automatic.

Instead of trying
To disguise
Your guilt
Be wise.
Apologize.

Because it’s inspired
Faith is acquired
And grows in
An open humble heart.
Faith isn’t learned by a mind.
It’s motivated
And activated
By God
In a person
Who avoids
Being mired
In distractions
And stuck in
Diverting attractions.

If you have ever heard about Jesus, but haven’t followed and obeyed Him, look back at who you have left behind. He’s patiently waiting for you.

Mission: Cultivation!

Daily writing promptWhat is your mission?View all responses

My mission is to cultivate my mind and my heart so that they flourish with hope and become a light for others. I strive daily to cultivate my thoughts, desires, and emotions so that they grow into a beacon of hope within me that others can see and be inspired by.

Whatever you cultivate and grow in your mind and heart will determine your quality of life. Cultivating anger, rebellion, and confusion will grow guilt and pain within you, but cultivating love, joy, and peace will produce a happy life.

So how do you cultivate your heart and mind to produce a beautiful life? You tend and guard them — you seed and weed. You plant and nurture pure and productive feelings and thoughts within you. Then you guard those inner tender plants so that they can grow and flourish, keeping them protected from the weeds of polluted and destructive thoughts, feelings, and desires.

Your mind and heart — your choice! You can work to turn your heart and mind into good ground for growing the fulfilling, life-giving fruit of God’s Spirit. Or you can let your heart and mind grow the weeds, seeds, and deeds of darkness and self-focus. What kind of inner gardener are you?

Continually cultivate the humble approach to God so you can hear and obey His prompting throughout the day. Here’s a poem I woke up with and cultivated in my heart and mind this morning:

Cultivate space
For God’s Spirit
To freely flow
In your heart
And through your mind
And to replace
Self-focus
With Christ’s presence.
Then you will find
A different kind
Of life,
Much greater than
Human knowing,
Growing
Within you.

I Want to Live Long to Sing a Glorious Song

Daily writing promptWhat are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?View all responses

I want to live long to help overcome the influence of mean screen scenes:

Too often our screens
Overflow with scenes
Of hostility
That shouldn’t be seen.
And we wonder how
Our society
Can be so mean
And violent.

No matter how long
My life may last
It will eventually
Be in the past.
I want to live long
So I can boldly sing
Christ’s glorious song
And bring more people along
So they can joyfully
And triumphantly
Sing His song
When I am gone
And keep passing it on.

There’s an inner battle going on in every person and in every country in the world. The outcome of those battles matters greatly. I’ve spent my life training to fight and win the battles within me and to be an influencer to help other people fight and win their inner battles.

I want to stick around on planet earth as long as I can so that I can use my training to help other people win their inner battles so that together we can change society. This requires the inner weapons of self-control, thought discipline, hope revelation, encouragement, courage, persistence, faith, prayer, and ongoing surrender to and obedience to the risen Jesus Christ.

Society is continually trying to influence, persuade, manipulate, seduce, deceive, entrap, and control people, but Christians are supposed to be led by God’s Spirit. We are supposed to influence people to live Christ-like lives and not be influenced to follow the human desires promoted by society. Be God’s Christ-like influencer, not society’s mental and spiritual puppet.

I want to live long enough to see Christians embrace and live out a fuller definition of prayer so that they can lovingly heal the hurts and rebellion in the world. Prayer is the spiritual hunger and thirst that leads to heart-to-heart connection with the living God and produces passionate, fervent, loving, and ongoing two-way communication with Him and a lifestyle of obeying “Christ in you” and of being continually led by the Spirit. It can’t be taught by a teaching but must be caught and grown through submission to divine revelation.

Doing differently

Daily writing promptWhat could you do differently?View all responses

It takes courage to think differently than your feelings and the people around you. Dare to think beyond your mimicking mind. Without the willingness to think differently you’ll stay stuck in your old thought patterns. If you want to overcome your problems, you definitely have to begin to think differently than the way of thinking that keeps you trapped and entangled in them.

Hindsight can devour you with disappointment or it can empower you to see differently so you can embrace hope for the future. Blame is a blotched-up way of thinking. Think differently and love those who have hurt you.

If you’re unwilling to change how you look at your life, positive changes that you try to make will boomerang back into the past.

Christianity has become
A routine religion
Of simply hearing,
Sitting and listening
Week after week,
But where are the signs
Of Christ appearing
In the hearts of the people?
Where’s the awe,
The tearing,
The repentance,
And the God-fearing?
The end is nearing
But without discipleship
Our ship is sinking
And our faith is
Disappearing.

Think differently. What you see as problems might actually be God trying to get your attention. If you want a more hopeful perspective on life, you have to see things differently. Romans 8:28 helps me do that. Jesus helps me see things differently — in ways that encourage me, not in ways that wear me down.

No matter where you are in your walk with the Lord, there’s more. Never stop growing! Refuse to allow any thought that refuses to obey Jesus and to conform to His will to have any place in your mind. Our human thinking falls far short of producing peace between people and between nations. We need the Prince of Peace for that. Perhaps it would help you to see things differently.

“Think About Things Differently”

Daily writing promptIf you had a freeway billboard, what would it say?View all responses

A fresh new way of thinking can work wonders in your life! Put your life and your thoughts in the hands of the Man who rose from the dead and is still alive and working in the world today! (That’d be Jesus.)

Prepare the way for Jesus to be the Lord within you. Christians are called to constantly fight the invisible fight of pulling down all of the corrupt desires, feelings, and habits that work to achieve and maintain a strong hold within them. Christ-followers are supposed to be continually casting down their own opinions and imaginings by compelling their every thought to always obey the risen Christ so that He can freely live and ever shine His light in them (unquenched, unobstructed, and uninterrupted). Then Jesus can fully and truly be the absolute Lord and Master of all that goes on within them. Never stop fighting the good fight of faith! (See 2 Corinthians 10:4.)

If you have yet to begin that fight (or have already surrendered to inner negativity), it’s not too late for you to start. Begin to focus your mind and heart on what is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. (See Philippians 4:8.)

If you don’t like adulting
Begin daily consulting
The living Jesus
And let Him start sculpting
Your mind and heart
And catapulting
You into the joys
Of spiritual maturity.

Thinking About The Timeless One

Daily writing promptDo you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?View all responses

I love these famous words: “Jesus Christ the same, yesterday, today, and forever.” They’re more than words to me. They’re reality. Only one person in my life hasn’t changed. That’s Jesus — the timeless One! I spend most of my time thinking about and experiencing the presence of the ever-present One, so I seldom think about the future or the past. I love every moment with Jesus.

I woke up with this poem forming in my mind this morning:

Every time I
Open my heart
To Jesus Christ
A quiet rush
Of holy hush
Surrounds me
And astounds me
As I gush
With the Spirit
Of the Lord.

This sentence also formed in my mind before I got out of bed: “The most effective leader is a living example of continually listening to and obeying the risen Jesus.”

Jesus has opened the way for ongoing intimacy with God. Regardless of the circumstances, your life will soar like an eagle in the present if you will fully submit to His presence and always listen to and obey His still small voice.
