Writing is easy, the rest is harder

I find writing easy especially when I allow the inspiration to flow unimpeded. For me the creative process comes in a rush and I have to write down the words in a notebook as typing is not a skill that I have ever really mastered and it can interfere with the flow if I try to type at the same time. When the stream of writing is finished I transfer it onto the computer and find that what I wrote in the notebook and what I type into the computer differs slightly. It is as if the first draft is the idea then the transference from paper to computer is the refining of the idea.
Nothing is more satisfying that seeing your work in print but that is the harder part. Getting noticed and having work accepted is a challenge that is why I have initially gone down the self-published route.
That choice might not be for everyone.I have had to push myself to market my book and put myself out there which has taken me far out of my comfort zone and is an ongoing process.I am not computer savvy so the technology side has been very difficult and confronting but I have had help and I get pushed by my Spirit helpers to have a go and hey my book is about letting go of trying to be perfect.
