Do you memorize lines of poetry too, or are you normal and stuff?
.
My aesthetic: Old paper, Oxford shoes, stuffed bears, laptop by the fireplace, long walks in the rain, soft naps, heaps of unread books and barely staying alive.
.
My characters’ aesthetics: Bloodstains and bruises everywhere, lace dresses and leather boots, arrogant geniuses who are completely soft for a kitten, warrior girls, enemies in love, drowning oceans, raging battles and spoiled English boys. Also barely surviving.
.
So we have something in common after all

Forget me. WIP progress
Forget Me. is going to be the next book in the Lose Me. series (more of a companion, less than a continuation of the same story. New set of OCs and everything.) The first part is already written!
Zoe - a ballerina who is struggling to get good enough grades in order to get into Julliard. Her family is breaking apart due to an ugly divorce and she’s losing the beloved grandma who raised her to Alzheimer’s. She lives over a candy shop.
Theo - an expelled Harvard student, one of the wealthiest heirs of the hotel business, who is slowly losing himself to guilt and bad friends. His dad is a multimillionnaire, his mom is a politically active black woman, running for Congress, and his brilliant, gorgeous brother is in a coma after being injured in Afghanistan.
Connection to Lose Me. - Theo is one of Wes’ best friends, and the one who did all the CGI’s by himself for Wes’ award winning short movie, a scifi retelling of Hamlet. Theo was the dude who asked Ari “Why would you want to do that?” in the hospital, meaning “Why would you want to survive?”
Meet Cute - Theo has to tutor Zoe in math, if she is to have any hope of applying for her dream college. BUT Theo doesn’t care for a charity job his dad foisted onto him in order to teach him responsibility. As for Zoe… she is juggling her failing grandma’s candy shop business, dance class, and her little brother being parentless because of her dad’s shenanigans, so she could care even less than him.
Why I can’t wait to finish writing it - There’s a lot, so sit tight and let’s list everything off the top of my head:
I love researching everything that has to do with the fascinating world of ballerinas and the gorgeous plots of the well-known ballets.
Zoe’s grandma is suffering from the same illness that took my own grandma, so I want to explore that experience further; writing about it is already a healing process.
Theo. I love how broken he is and I love that he plays the piano. Also, I want to explore the aspect of racism towards someone who isn’t white, but isn’t an underdog either. What happens in these cases? Does racism cease to exist because of social status, beauty (Theo worked as a model) or money? (Spoiler alert: nope.)
The candy shop. Enough said. Also, Zoe (Greek name, meaning life) is Greek, and so is her grandma as well as the shop. I can’t wait to share more Greek food with you. YUM.
Snow. It takes place hugely during Christmas, and at a chalet. All the winter feels… And the aesthetic game is strong.
I can’t wait to revisit Greece in one of my novels (Which this one totally will do, of course. But it will be a different place, so I can’t wait to share all the beauty of my homeland with you.)
Rescue scenes. As you know, I love to explore the theme of emotional as well as physical rescue in my books, especially my conetmporary ones, so I am super excited to see how the scenes will play out, and can’t wait for the betas feedback. A few of them have already been written, the rest just outlined.
Family dynamics. This is a huge spoiler, but all I can say is that I love exploring both the MCs families in this book. They are both so brilliant and so damaged, it’s very interesting for me.
Theo plays the piano. Not as well as Pan, of course, but he’s decent. For me, a boy who plays the piano is the hottest thing (that’s party how I fell for the dude - don’t ask)
Harvard. This book will be marketed as Gilmore Girls meets Gossip Girl (too many Girls, I know) so a huge chunk of it will take place at the college site. My nerdy heart bursts with book-smelling, late-night-studying, secret-elite-societies, bad boys, grass-sitting-to-read feels.
There MIGHT be a huge milestone for Wes and Ari in this book, as they make their cameos. Just saying.
What do you think? Excited?Read it first (betas and reviewers will be picked from here).
Get spoiled on the plot (not actual spoilers, just fun details and teasers.)

Salt for Air official trailer - cover+pub date reveal
No matter how much people say booklr is dead or problematic or whatever, I will always be grateful for it because I run across random books like this! Chubby MC who writes and daydreams about mermaids! This whole thing sounds like the author crawled into my brain and went “Hey, I’m gonna write a story about this!”
