Have I been Fooled?
I turned on my computer this morning and I can hardly believe what I found. Is Amazon doing an April Fool's joke on me? This morning they ranked "Knitting Up a Murder" #1 in the Kindle Store for books featuring Knitting and #4 in the Amazon store for books about Knitting. Great incentive to finish writing "Hooking Up for Murder", book two in the Yarn Genie series.

BIG TEN
I'm not a huge sports fan, but as a fan, I was excited when our local Eaton Rapids high school wrestling team won at Regionals and Districts. The coaches and wrestlers were over the top with excitement, hugging and jumping up and down.
This morning the Kindle version of Knitting Up a Murder has made it to 10th place in its niche category of a cozy mystery about knitting. Amazon.com
will now show it on the first page of potential books for readers looking to purchase something in this drill down category. That's an enormous honor. Thank you to everyone who helped by spreading the word, purchasing and reviewing the book to get it to number 10. I'm jumping up and down with excitement. Coaches and reader teammates--consider yourselves virtually hugged.

I'm Officially a Paid Author
My first paperback sales royalty payment was deposited into my account today! It is only a double digit (and a small one at that), but I am very proud of it. I would frame it like you see business do for their first dollar made, but I can't figure out how to frame an electronic deposit.

Good Free Guide
I just downloaded the free bonus, Format Guidelines, from Writer's Relief. I wish I'd had this when I first started getting serious about my writing. I took the long way around to learn how to format my work properly. Their Manuscript Formatting Guidelines will help with poetry, short prose, novels, nonfiction books, and play formatting. Get it and get it right the first time.
