Wink and A Nod Thursday

Today's Wink and Nod recipient is Marcie at The Quiet Country House.
Marcy blogs about gardens and nature. At Marcie's blog, you'll find lovely photos and bits of  poetry sprinkled amid the pictures.  I think you'll enjoy her blog as much as I do.
She also has published the book Cultivating Success In The Garden.
Wink, wink, Marcie.

So many blogs. So little time.

Four-Legged Terrorists

If you look closely you can see Captain on the other side of the window.
The monster kitten and the dog got so bad about getting into the  kitchen cabinets we had someone come out and put magnets on the doors.  Then we dry-washed our hands. Problem solved.
Until.......
The HH didn't get the pantry door closed securely.  The next morning when we got up we found paper and food strewn all over the dining room floor. As close as I can tell the cat pried the door open and the dog got on his hind legs and pulled items off the shelf.
My next plan:
Wear the dog out so she wouldn't have the energy or inclination to get in the pantry or whatever else she happened to be poking her nose into at the time.  I started leaving her in the (enclosed) backyard for three hours a day.
Until....
She figured out how to open the door.
Back to square one.
The HH's take: Good thing we didn't have them when the kids were little or they would have given the kids ideas.
Got any four-legged terrorists at your house?
