To my Republican friends, please feel free to ignore this. I try to avoid politics on this blog, because we all feel so deeply about our points of view and sadly there is such a huge divide between the parties. I'm posting this because it struck my funny bone:)
My brother and sis-in-law went with us when we traveled to Southern Illinois a few weeks ago. We had my brother pull his car in the garage, where it was parked next to mine.  He and I took one look at the bumper stickers, on the cars parked side by side, and burst out laughing. I don't know if you can make out the stickers, but his is a Bernie sticker  and mine is Hillary. We had both bases covered...even if it didn't do us any good us:)

Barbara posts on vintage books.  Why her interest in antiquated books? She used to be--wait for it--a bookseller. Definitely, one of our favorite occupations. She lives in the charming village of Somerset in the UK.  Best of all, she's a proud grandmother that occasionally shares lovely pictures of the grandchildren.

What Do You Do With Your Valentine's Day Flowers?

I stuck mine in the ground.

The HH gave me a dozen roses for Valentine's Day.  I kept them in water for about a month or so trying to get them to root. When they didn't,  I got impatient and stuck them in the ground.  That was about two weeks ago. They're still alive. We'll see......
I also took some seeds from a bell pepper and potted them.
After they sprouted I put a few in the garden. Again, we'll see.....
Pretend you don't see the weeds;)
