It's nearly Halloween, but the roses are still putting on...

It's nearly Halloween, but the roses are still putting on a show in my garden. I picked these yesterday and popped them in a vase beside the picture of my three grandchildren. They are so pretty I had to share.

And while I'm here I should let you know that there's a huge Harlequin sale in the US this week. There are hundreds of titles at just $1.99, including all these of mine.

Three special, sexy romances

If you're in the UK this month, It Happened In Paradise
will be sitting on the shelves W H Smith or a supermarket near you, or
waiting to be downloaded to your favourite reading device.

It contains three books, Wedded in a Whirlwind by me, Deserted Island, Dreamy Ex by Nicola Marsh and His Bride in Paradise by Joanna Neil.

One
heroine needs to escape for a while - things do not go according

A Summer's Lease #free

Here's what some people are saying about A Summer's Lease on Amazon and Goodreads -

"This
one had me so invested in the story I was almost yelling at them but
what a fabulous story, one that kept me turning the pages. I loved the
setting, the story line old buccaneers and family history and that
sensual pull throughout. Yes I can highly recommend this one." 5*

"A
lovely gentle book with a

My bottom drawer book...

I guess most authors have a book in the bottom drawer that, for one reason or another didn't get published. There are as many reasons for this as there are books. The first, the big reason, is that for some reason your editor didn't quite take to it.

As an inexperienced author you think she knows everything, but then the same editor (long gone) had undermined my confidence in another book - A

Release day!

It's here!

Melting Mr Frosty's Heart is about to go live and I couldn't be more excited.

I've been wanting to give Ria and Graeme a story ever since Anything But Vanilla was published (still available as an ebook) and finally it's here.

It is a short story but a longish one well worth the 99p/99c which is the minimum Amazon and iBooks allows me to charge. Less than I pay for my morning paper

Summertime...

I love this time of year. The first flush of roses might have faded but the hanging baskets (after a dodgy start with so much rain) and pots are looking fabulous.

I've planted a ton of seeds and I'll be moving them from the trays and into pots to grow on so that I can plant them out in the autumn.

Stocks for the scent, violas because I just love those pansy faces, stately foxgloves - cream

Get a free download of Melting Mr Frosty's Heart

Those of you who've been with me for a while will know I have a bit of a thing for ice cream. Three books - Tempted By Trouble, Anything But Vanilla and Vettori's Damsel in Distress - have charted the romances of the three Amery sisters who founded the ice cream events business "Scoop!".

Often one book will lead to a spin-off - great characters cannot be left dangling while the main event
