Get in the mood for Valentine's Day with erotic ebooks

The need for romance, love, or just some simple hooking up get people interested in Valentine's Day. This charming holiday spices up the dreariness of late winter, when, on an animal level, we naturally start thinking about finding a mate for spring.

Enticing another person to fall under the spell of your sexy worthiness is not always easy, and the famous exploration of the sex lives of ancient Hindus, the Kama Sutra, recommends this love potion:

If a man mixes the powder of the milk hedge...

A tattoo for Valentine's Day?

Deep down people know they probably shouldn't get a tattoo with a lover's name on it. Permanent skin art has long term consequences and should not be motivated by fleeting desires. Despite this common sense, I've noticed over the years that my tattoo website Destination Tattoo always has a surge of traffic leading up to Valentine's Day. I suspect people are researching tattoos because they are perhaps about to get inked as a tribute to a romantic relationship. Or, some of the visitors are try...

Fantasy web novel updated

This morning I added Chapter 7 Partnership to my web novel version of the epic fantasy Union of Renegades. I've been enjoying expanding success with the ebook versions of my fantasy novels, and I'm eager to see if the chapter-by-chapter blog style presentation of the first book in my epic fantasy series catches on. I realize that some people like to read web fiction instead of downloading ebooks. These readers might be in situations where downloading is not a good idea, like on a work or scho...

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde now transformed to epub format

For about a year and half I have been building a collection of classic works in ebook formats with an emphasis on genre literature and interesting nonfiction. My goals have been to help readers find classics that they might like to read and make them accessible in a range of formats to allow them to be read on a variety of devices. Because the format called epub is emerging as somewhat of a cross-platform standard, I am slowly adding it to each title in the catalog.

The latest addition is the...

Promoting fiction with a web novel in blog format

Some fiction writers cultivate a following of readers by publishing their work as online serials, web novels, or blog novels. Common web publishing tools like RSS feeds and email subscriptions help readers stay connected and follow the stories. This web fiction scene is especially popular with graphic novels.

Because I already give away in ebook formats the first novel of my fantasy series, I decided to set up a web fantasy novel at the Wordpress publishing system. This should increase my ex...

Grimms' Fairy Tales ebook

When you use an ebook reader no one needs to see what you are reading, like children's bedtime stories. Actually Grimms' Fairy Tales offer great entertainment for children and adults. The charming animal characters, magic, princesses, destitute peasants, and monsters easily engage children while adults can enjoy picking apart the deeper meanings or reflecting on the societal injustices often portrayed by these fairy tales collected and recorded by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm.

For example, the wel...

Weekend Link Party

Despite the utter vastness of the internet, it's easy to get stuck visiting the same websites all the time. I'm always looking for something new and interesting, but such things are often hard to find until you serendipitously encounter a link to a website previously unknown to you. That's why these "link love" style blog posts tend to be rather interesting, so I'm going to try and make a habit of regularly writing one.

Pill Hill Press - About a week ago, I was contacted by this small publishe...

Advertising and text links now available at Poker Situations

Yesterday I added the code to my new poker website to enable banner advertising through the Project Wonderful system. This advertising company works on a bidding system, and I like it very much both as an advertiser and a publisher.

Because advertisers need traffic I am actively promoting the site. I've already added some articles at Ezinearticles.com that will gradually seed links throughout the internet and I have a press release going out tomorrow. I have confirmed that the site is already...

Edgar Allan Poe collection, a heroic fantasy ebook worth a read, and poker strategy

Despite a respectable amount of holiday season loafing (and eating loaves) I have kept busy and have my usual eclectic mix of publishing to report.

This month my featured classic is Haunted Brilliance: The Collected Works and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe. This is in honor of his January 19th birthday. Every word, phrase, and sentence of Poe illustrates his unquestioned talent. Words were the little slaves in the vault of his mind and he made them dance, weep, sing, and fly with the utmost obedien...

Gardeners! Plan to save that summer abundance with home canning

For gardeners, winter is both a welcome relief from toiling with their beloved Earth and a prison in which nothing can be grown. Even in warmer climates, the winter months hardly compare to the bountiful bliss of summer gardening. Gardeners know to spend their down time researching new plants, shopping seed catalogs, and studying pest and disease control techniques, but sometimes more focus is placed on producing the food instead planning how to consume every bit of it.

If you are a gardener ...
