So Lupus-Signatus and I go waaaay back…he draws muscle art quite in line with my preferences, and I think I originally met him on Y! Gallery, when I actually had an account (heard they just had a hacking. Pity :-( )….he’s a really sweet guy, but life has kinda been shitting on him pretty much as long as I’ve known him. And I’ve had a running joke that his characters, especially his lead avatar Professor Lupus (aka “Lu”), don’t smile much.
You’d think, given fetish, that there’s an obvious way I could have forced some smiles along the way, but I’ve been shy about that.
'Til now. Let’s turn that frown upside-down with some feathers, hmm?
I have no idea what he’s sitting on, but it works for my purposes, so I don’t care.
Many of you here are used to seeing a far different interpretation of Prof Lu, but that’s for another site, yanno?

I’ve Lost My Online Home
If you haven’t heard yet, Y!Gallery was attacked by a hacker and is currently down.
It seems that most if not all old data was damaged/destroyed.
This means that even if the mods get the site back up and running, all of the past works will no longer be there.
It will most likely have to be a completely fresh start.
This stings me personally in a really really bad way.
Despite the reputation it had in some circles - and it being disliked by some artists I really like and respect - Y!Gallery was…well…I considered it my home on the internet.
Yes, more than Tumblr.
More than any kind of social media to be precise.
This may sound stupid, but it feels like my home of many many years just burned down with all my stuff in it.
The mods fixing it is like the government coming in and rebuilding it and giving me all the financial aide I need to make it a home again.
…But it still isn’t my old home, you know?
I’m sure comparing the loss of a website dedicated mainly to gay porn to someone actually losing their home is offensive, but I cant help the way
I feel. So I apologies to anybody that my comparison may have hurt.
Not being an artist (or even a decent writer) myself means that I didn’t lose too many things that I personally created, but my friends list is now gone and with it a decent portion of my usual commissioned artist contacts.
And don’t even get me started on my favorites list. I think I was well into the thousands.
And of course there are works from artists that are longer with us that are gone now too.
The worst part of this is the fact that I became even more of a lurker than I used to be these past few years. I always assumed that my Y!Gallery homepage would be there for me to get restarted in the community whenever I felt like it.
But…well, you know what they say about assuming things.
If/when Y!Gallery restarts, I will do my best to restart my “Stripped and Embarrassed” fetish club and my reputation for constantly bringing said fetish into every conversation.
But there will always be a feeling of loss now.
In the next few days I am going to dig out my old external hard drive and even some old Data CD’s from years ago and go through them to see what commissions/gifts/requests from other Y!Gallery users I got and remembered to save over the years.
If any artist comes across my posts and sees their stuff in them and does not want it to be on Tumblr than message me (and I’ll do my best to pay attention to my Tumblr messages for a change) and I’ll delete the post.
