Out of my Mind by John E. Petty
I am a big fan of Shel Silverstein! This collections of stories and poems reminds me a little of Mr Silverstein. I enjoyed this collection and it kept me quite entertained. * I received this book from the author in exchange of an honest review* 5/5

Cruisin’ through books cause books make life worth living with Aly #RileyAmosReviews ARC part 1!
Death and a Cup of Tea by Jess Faraday
Thanks to Rachel at Elm Books for offering this advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review! I enjoyed this book and it’s many short stories. Think this was a great book to take to the beach and enjoy some fun reading in the sun. All the stories were entertaining to me and kept my interest. 4/5

#RileyAmosReviews/#SupportIndieAuthors/Preorder pump to help a fellow Indie Author supporter!
So, first off, I just recently finished An ARC version of this book. *I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.* And I’m glad I didn’t post it right away. I needed to let it stew, this is one of those kinds of stories. It has you guessing what’s going on almost from start to finish, but I mean that in a good way. Ann does a wonderful job of guiding you on a journey where you’re never really sure what’s coming next. This is one I’d read again. 4/5
Ann is also someone that is really supportive of independent authors, so I thought I’d take this chance to help her get some pre-orders on her story, Hollow Towns.
And remember guys, if you want to be a part of the #SupportIndieAuthor or #RileyAmosReviews series to get a hold of me at RileyAmosReviews(at)Gmail.com! I love to meet knew people!

#SupportIndieAuthors, Our first graphic novel edition!
Just the right amount of cynicism flows from this next author. Not too much, not too little, just right.

1. What do you do to keep your spirits up through a bad review?
I’ve never had a bad review that devastated me. Any negative feedback I’ve received, I can usually see that went wrong pretty fast. Sometimes it’s a matter of personal taste, sometimes it’s a case of miscommunication. I guess I just don’t take bad reviews seriously. I see them as nothing more an invitation for improvement.
2. What has been your greatest inspiration for writing your story?
Neil Gaiman and Sin City / Frank Miller. Second to that, music is a huge influence and I couldn’t possibly list everything. It just depends on my mood.
3. Are there any people you feel need a shout out for supporting you?
Courtney Wells, Kevin Cole, and Kelley White-Ricks, to name a few. Many others of course, but they know who they are.
4. Has self-publishing taught you any lessons that you feel will help you in life?
Hmm, I feel it’s the opposite. My whole life and years of work experience has prepared me for self-publishing. I’m just now enjoying the icing on the cake.
and last, What’s your favorite color?
That’s such a mean question. I’m an artist, I love all colors. Asking me to pick one is like asking a mother to pick a child while the others are murdered. Nope, can’t do it.

Cruisin’ through books cause books make life worth living with Aly! #RileyAmosReviews 7/11/2015 part 2! #SupportIndieAuthors!
This book is a little different from what I normally read. I wanted to try something new and I enjoyed this book. This book has a good message. I enjoyed the story and the message the book is sending out. I try to live by treating people the way I want to be treated and it is not easy to live by in the world today. I think more people need some of this ideas and the think more people need to live the way this book talks about living. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review* 4/5

Quote your Character (Day 2)
This is a challenge I might just have to try…I hate finding quotes in my own work, it makes me feel so vain! (My wife cackles next to me as she watches me type those words…)
Originally posted on Myths of the Mirror:
Day 2 of the 3-Day 3-Quote Challenge, I once again invite you to share a quote from your characters in my comments. I offer quotes from two wise men who people my pages. Both are from the series that begins with Myths of the Mirror and continues through the Dragon Soul Trilogy.
This challenge came my way thanks to LIVE LOVE LAUGH, a fun site worth a visit.
If anyone would like to send on the 3 Day 3 Quote Challenge, here are the official rules:
1. Thank the person who nominated you
2. Post a quote a day for 3 days.
3. Each day, nominate 3 new bloggers to take part in the challenge.
Enjoy!

A little shameless self promotion never hurt anyone.
Received a few more reviews on my books, though I’ve avoided posting them here. I hear some readers don’t like an author that “Toot’s his own horn” but when you’re just starting out, who else is going to do it! Anyways, back to reality.
We have a lovely post today from one Christina McMullen (#SupportIndieAuthors!) who has apparently been slacking in her own reviews to be posted on her site. You can see what she has to say about mine, as well as several other authors works, here.
Next up, I’ve been collecting as many reviews as I can for Everyone Dies At The End, and I received my two to be placed on blogs! (One I just plum forgot to post…)
I forgot to mention Derek Bailey, as well as thank him for his wonderful review, when he dropped it last month. If you can’t tell, it’s been a long summer so far! A 3 star, but I love how he covers what he liked and didn’t like about the tale. He’s an author in his own right, so check out his works while you’re checking out the review.
And then there’s Stephanie at NovelIdeaReviews. Another 3 star, but one I’m very happy with. I’m really getting the feeling that people will either love or hate the book just based off the ending, and I think I’m okay with that.
Anyways, that’s it. Just touching bases before I go back into “Must find more reviews” mode. *I’m shooting for 100 on Everyone Dies At The End before it releases next year, I’m up to 15, but I need quite a few more!*
