TRACE ELEMENTS -- free pilot episode
My latest release is a romantic suspense entitled TRACE ELEMENTS, sharing its name with a hit TV series. In the book, the heroine is an actress who plays Special Agent Annika Trace in the Trace Elements TV show. In real life, she's Nikki Gower, but when the real FBI asks for her help on a real case she just can't say "no."
For fun, I've written a few episodes of the TV show, and I'm making them available for free, starting with the Pilot Episode, where Special Agent Annika Trace first meets her grouchy, hunky sidekick -- a reclusive scientist name Cole. The gimmick is that Nikki and Josh -- the hero and heroine in the book -- are eeriely similar to their TV counterparts, Annika and Cole.

sale prices for PERFECT SPECIMEN and PS-2
We lowered the price on PERFECT SPECIMEN and PERFECT SPECIMEN 2(BRIETTA) to 99 cents on Amazon.com and similar reductions all around. PS tells the story of Sara, a young woman who has been experimented on by an alien geneticist since childhood. She has passed every test, and now he's ready to take her away, promising that if she cooperates, no harm will come to the people she loves. But the guy she picked up in a bar for the sex phase of the experiment complicates things by refusing to break up. He doesn't know about the geneticist, but he's pretty sure someone's harassing Sara, and he's going to put a stop to it.
The geneticist has another human subject named Brietta, and even though he sees her as vastly imperfect compared to Sara, he'll take her if need be. And since she's off on a remote archaeological dig with a hot but anti-social grouch of a boss, the chances of anyone trying to save her are slim.
I hope you give them a try! We're lowering the price in preparation for two more releases this summer. Not alien abduction, but one romantic suspense and one romantic comedy, football style. So who knows? Maybe you can find something you like in this Mulligan stew of sci-fi, romantic suspense, and comedy!

The geneticist has another human subject named Brietta, and even though he sees her as vastly imperfect compared to Sara, he'll take her if need be. And since she's off on a remote archaeological dig with a hot but anti-social grouch of a boss, the chances of anyone trying to save her are slim.

Free e-book!
GAME OF HEARTS is free today (and for the next two weeks) at the Samhain website as well as at Amazon, B&N, Sony and others. Yay! Free is definitely my favorite price.
GAME OF HEARTS was the first of five historical romances I wrote about mail-order brides. They came out in paperback a while ago, but went out of print. Luckily, Samhain is re-releasing them as e-books, so now they’ll be available forever. Four of the books are already out, with the fifth one scheduled for re-release next month. Thanks, Samhain!
The books were linked by using the same marriage broker for each “match,” but as an added bonus, there are actually two matches in GAME OF HEARTS. We have the heroine Suzannah, whose heart was broken by a handsome wrangler, so she decides to tag along to California when her friend Megan becomes a mail-order bride. But it turns out Megan’s mail-order groom is Aengus, the hunky guy who broke Suzannah’s heart. Much confusion ensues, but by the end, it’s all sorted out. Aengus turns out to be a great catch, and then there’s a roguish gambler the girls met on the train who proves to be unorthodox-but-excellent husband material himself.
