Star Runners 5 to Pre-release Team this Week!

It's been a long road full of twists and turns, edits and rewrites -- just like every novel I've ever written -- and now the light is at the end of the tunnel! Star Runners 5 is being sent to the pre-release team this week! Whew! I plan on taking some time to simply write new material for the next few days and concentrate on something other than editing. I have been editing every day for hours on end since December to try and republish Star Runners 1-4 before I jumped right into 5! The manuscript had already been written, but as any writer will tell you, that's only the beginning. I appreciate all of your support and the patience of those who have been waiting on the book. Some of you have asked me about the plot of SR5. The short, one-sentence summary would be this: Josh Morris goes to the farthest regions of the galaxy—and beyond it—to keep a promise and help a friend, unknowingly sparking events that could lead to galactic war. There's so much more to share in the coming weeks! The official title and book cover will be revealed to email list subscribers first. The book will be placed on pre-order shortly as well. I can't wait to start sharing scenes and extended previews soon, too. So much to do, but so fun! Stay frosty! LET

Mission Wraith Playlist

Hi Star Runners! I've been writing with music playing since I can remember. It started with cassette tapes and continued into the digital age. Now, I always have music playing when I'm writing. A while back I created a very specific playlist when I was writing Star Runners: Mission Wraith. I listened to these same nine songs over and over again. I recently compiled the list with Spotify and thought I'd share it. There are two songs I was listening to on this list during certain scenes. One played on repeat every time the Wraith made an appearance. Another repeated when I was writing the scene for the Glistening Orb from the moment Ryker and Austin stepped onto the elevator. I have no idea if you'll find this interesting. Like most authors, I'm asked where ideas come from quite often. For me, they always come from hiking (or driving in horrible traffic) and listening to music. The Glistening Orb popped into my head during one of the songs on this list. Anyway, I thought I'd share some music with you wonderful people. I've never done this before, so I hope you enjoy it. More Star Runners news is close on the horizon! I can't wait to share it with you!Stay frosty!- LET

Star Runners 1-4 E-book Bundle Now Available

I've always been drawn to sprawling epics. I remember checking out the Lord of the Rings from the library and getting sucked into Middle Earth for hours on end. I didn't know at the time it was only the beginning. As the years went on, I bought more collections and filled up my bookshelves over the year. It's in my DNA. I can't help myself. So I always wanted to provide the same opportunity by creating a collection (in this case "a bundle") for the rest of the world. I had created a Star Runners Omnibus comprising of books 1-3 but had never done the same with all four of the existing books. I'm happy to say there's a bundle out there now!If you're interested or think this would be an excellent gift for a friend, check it out.

Star Runners Universe E-mail list returns!

Happy Friday! It's hard to believe we're already well into February. As we start to ramp up all things in the Star Runners Universe (2018 is looking to be a busy year for Tridents, Interceptors and all things Legion and Zahl), the E-mail list is be relaunched after a long hiatus. After a lot of thought, we've decided to start the list over again. Since it has been so long in between newsletters, there was a fear we'd be sending out emails to deactivated accounts or people would be afraid we were sending spam. So, we've started over! What does that mean to you? Rather than a newsletter, the email list means you will be the first to hear news from the Star Runners Universe and be entered into all manner of giveaways including free audiobooks, signed copies of the paperback, exclusive content and more! If you'd like to join the list, click here. Have an awesome weekend and stay frosty!

What a wonderful world

What a fantastic world we live in! I hope I don't embarrass him by writing about this (so I'm only going to use his first name), but I received an email this week that still has me smiling. I know the recent publishing schedule for the Star Runners Universe has been a little different. After publishing the first four books in about two years from 2014-2016, many of you have inquired about the status of book 5. But I don't think I've ever received such a kind message asking about the status of me as I received this week. Jason, a Star Runners reader and listener of the audiobooks, hails from Australia and sent me a message just to ask if I was "OK." He wondered if there would be a fifth book as well, but indicated he was more concerned about my well-being. I couldn't believe it. I read and re-read the email before I responded. We hear so much in the media about negative interactions we sometimes forget to concentrate on the good news. Here was someone on the other side of the world taking time out of his day to make sure I was doing OK. Happily, I was able to respond I was alive and well. Thanks to him, I was blessed with a renewed sense of encouragement about the world and our future. I've been feeling it ever since. The correspondence reminded me how important it is to take time to tell others they mean something to us or smile at the random person in the grocery store. You'll probably never know what a difference you made in their day by the gesture, but you'll also feel genuinely better as well. Regarding the Star Runners Universe, I'm hard at work on Book 5. I have a tentative title and an ARC (advanced reading copy) team assembled. I don't want to provide a release date, yet. You all have been so patiently waiting I want to give the absolute best possible book I could write before releasing it to the world. If you just have to know, I'm looking at publication possibly in the spring. Stay tuned to www.StarRunners.net for the latest.I was asked the other day how many Star Runners books I plan on writing. The initial plan for Austin Stone's story was at least six. I'll keep you posted on if that remains the plan. When they asked, I smiled and said, "It's a big universe. There's always more stories." But I will probably give Austin a break after six. I think he's certainly earned it. Now Bear on the other hand...*Of course, I'll never stop writing. :)I hope you guys have an awesome day. Remember to stay frosty and take care of yourselves! Feel free to drop me a line if you ever want to chat or just say hello. LET* P.S. And I was kidding about Bear.
