Happy Birthday Bubba & Chris!

Eleven years ago today, I was very upset with my doctor. I’d been in labor for a week—ha! I laugh at a mere week now!—contracting every two minutes until people in the other rooms were monitoring my contractions in awe. And the epidural definitely left something to be desired.
At four o’clock, I met the person [...:]

Blame It On Mercury…

When my dishwasher died, I thought, ok, fine. I can do dishes. (btw, I can’t. It SUCKS how many people drink in this house!)
When my vacuum went up in flames, literally, I thought, crap, well, I can sweep. (I won’t thrill you with how much a broom misses in my world of carpet.)
Then the fan [...:]

How Long Does It Take You?

I’m officially out of the cave.
WHEEEEEEEEE!!!
Pale is written. I have to do the last read through, but for all intents and purposes, my driven need to get it done while driving all over here and sundry the last two weeks means I’ve been getting not a lot done elsewhere. I’ve been catching up the last [...:]

Honest, Officer, Revlon Did It!!

So, I committed the cardinal dual mommy crimes on Mother’s Day this year of a) going pee and b) not realizing one of my lipsticks had fallen off the shelf.
Please keep in mind, my lipstick looks like a lip gloss and has a wand. And that my babies know where Mascara goes…
So, what happens when [...:]

Feeling Upbeater…

I hate being depressed. It…well, breeds more depression. So, I’ve been working on Pale and he finally got over his desire to drag his tail.
Chapter SIXTEEN, Baby! AND, I’m into the prewritten stuff. There’s a lot of rewriting involved, but that’s editing and I kick ass at cleaning up. Another week or so…I’m hoping…and Pale [...:]

Goodbye To Old Friends

I haven’t mentioned this much until yesterday, but since my sister’s passing, a number of folks have died or gotten seriously hurt. The same thing happened when my brother died. We heard of about 16 people who died, including my very nice next door neighbor.
The people who’ve been lost or hurt, though, are all people [...:]

Bizarre

Okay, this is going to sound funny. One of the problems with Ehlors-Danlos is that my joints tend to slip out of place when I least expect it. Walking, talking, sleeping. Have in fact woken up to full dislocations–which, I should tell you, SUCK.
So, I wasn’t terribly surprised this morning when I woke up with [...:]

Woohoo!

It’s all done, but the FLEs (The final line edits) My editor is awesomesauce today, for helping me get through them so quickly. And I mean QUICK. Even with rewrites, we’re talking 8 days. Am celebrating with laundry, work and writing.
Wait…HEY! Who came up with THAT plan??
