Week 3

Hello Monday. What a miserable week we've had.My eldest cat died.  He'd been ill for some time, but he looked like he was getting better -- and then not.  I miss him.  He was a big old teddy bear of a cat who liked to crawl into bed with me when I would settle in to read on my Nook.  He'd climb up on the pillow, stretch out across my shoulder, and read with me.  That included changing pages

NaNo Week 2

I wrote about the election.  I erased it.  Let us just say that I am not happy, but all we can do is hope for the best now.So now we start week 2 of NaNo.My writing slowed way down for a few days.  It has picked back up again and tonight I crossed the 100k mark.  Yeah, nothing really to complain about there, except I need to write 6k a day pretty much for the rest of the month if I want to

NaNo Week 1

We're one week into NaNoWriMo.  I've written somewhere over 60k and Raventower & Merriweather 2: War is going very well.  It is fun to write about 10k a day for a few days, but this is not something I can keep up for the entire month.  There will come a time when the flow of story words will slow down again, though I'll probably stick to about 5k a day. That's still about 2k over my usual

NaNo and Fun

Oh yes, only hours to go now for me before NaNo starts.  I have everything ready, I think.  I need to sit the Scrivener file up yet, but that shouldn't take much. I believe I might use the same project as I did for Raventower 1, and simply move that manuscript down into an area that no longer gets counted in the word count.  That way, I have all the original notes and character material on

New Release: Raventower & Merriweather 1: Secrets

Lord Micalus Raventower is a genius at creating clockwork creatures and tinkering with steampunk engines, but that doesn’t explain why Atiran assassins are suddenly intent on killing him. Lt.  Merriweather is assigned to protect Lord Raventower, a role she initially resents since it takes her away from the castle and any chance of advancement to the King's Guard.

Trouble is brewing for
