Fingers Crossed

I am currently working on a novel that takes place in Charleston, SC in 1964, so I'm visiting the low country again, at least in my imagination. I lived in Charleston for many years, but now call the mountains of NC my home.

The main characters are a grandmother and granddaughter in the Trueluck family who go on the adventure of their lives.

I've lost count of how many times I've revised this novel over the years, but it's getting close to being finished. Aiming for Fall. Fingers crossed. xo

Dear Ones: Join the Party on my Facebook Author Page

Facebook Author Page

Most of my interaction with readers these days takes place on my Facebook Author Page. I post several times a week on that page, both funny and serious things, as well as updates on my writing. It is easier than setting up a blog post and leaves more time for my prolonged habit of writing novels! I’ll still be sending out blog posts, too,...

Francine Christophe: The Power of Kindness and Chocolate

Francine Christophe is an 82-year-old Holocaust survivor and the story she tells in the documentary film, HUMAN, is one that proves without a doubt the powerful nature of stories. And perhaps most especially the stories that come from our own personal experience. This interview (under five minutes) made me stop everything else I was doing today...

From the Front Porch: Interview with Joy Resor

Hi everyone. I like to support local authors, artists and creative types and invited Joy Resor to be interviewed here on the Front Porch. Writing a Novel as a Pilgrimage?

Have you ever taken a pilgrimage?

pilgrimage
