Objective vs. Subjective Understanding

Keep in mind, misunderstanding is neither objective understanding nor subjective understanding; it's a lack of true understanding.

Subjective information is personal and interpretive, while objective information is factual and unbiased. Both perspectives are valuable in different contexts. Objective and subjective understanding represent different approaches to perceiving and interpreting reality.

Objective Understanding: Rely on empirical evidence, factual data, and logical reasoning. Seek to understand the world through observable and measurable phenomena. Aim for neutrality and impartiality, minimizing personal biases. Involve descriptive and historical inquiries, focusing on observable elements. Often it's associated with scientific explanations that rely on general laws.

Subjective Understanding: It involves personal experiences, emotions, and individual perspectives. It acknowledges that perception is influenced by one's beliefs, values, and biases. It emphasizes the importance of inner experiences and sentiments. It recognizes that the criteria for determining truth may be obscure and lack objective tests. It often involves empathic understanding, which seeks to understand the reasons and meanings behind human actions.

Keep in mind, misunderstanding is neither objective understanding nor subjective understanding; it's a lack of true understanding. The interplay between objective and subjective understanding is crucial in various fields. While objective analysis provides a foundation of facts and data, subjective interpretation allows for a deeper understanding of meaning, significance, and context.

Until Now

In the guidance of truth & beliefs, we’ll find our way to discover the wisdom, make an influence.

In the journey of growth,

we’ve walked this road,

Through the highs and the lows,

carrying our heavy workload.

Moments of doubt,

shadows of fear,

But every step taken shall bring us to-

the land of freedom.

Until now,

we’ve been misunderstood.

In the differences between each other,

we have to relearn & reknow,

 weather the norm.

With every rhyme,

we have to -

take our own trails for growth.

In the story of the modern world,

where we shall scrutinize -

who we are,

what we could achieve.

Through the frowns and tears,

the lessons learned.

In the spark of passion,

our spirits lift.

Every test and trial,

a piece of the past,

In the tapestry woven,

our vision holds clear.

So let’s look ahead,

embrace what’s to come up.

With an open mind and value clear,

we’ll never succumb.

In the guidance of truth & beliefs,

we’ll find our way to-

 discover the wisdom,

make an influence.

Universal Standards

Global standards refer to established guidelines, criteria, or norms that facilitate international activities, improve safety, and promote consistency across various sectors.

Global world varies due to different languages, cultural heritages, beliefs, and customs etc. Universal ethical standards are a complex topic with varied perspectives.

While many believe there are no moral universals due to cultural variations, it has been argued that some common moral principles are generally accepted across societies. These include concerns for reciprocity and constraints on certain illegal activities.

Relativism vs. Universalism

Ethical Relativism: This view asserts that morality is relative to particular societies, and no moral principle can be valid except in the societies in which it is held. Words like "good" and "bad" simply mean "approved in my society" or "disapproved in my society."

Universalism: This perspective posits that some moral rules are nearly universal. It raises the question of whether these common practices are rooted in human nature and objectively valid.

Challenges to Universal Ethical Standards

Cultural Variations: Immense differences exist in how broad principles are applied across cultures. Variations in morals were systematically studied in the 19th century, revealing tremendous diversity in what different societies consider good conduct.

Legitimacy and Priority: There are debates on whether human rights are divine, moral, or legal entitlements and whether they are validated by intuition, culture, custom, or social contract. Some argue that there is no universally agreed-upon theory or understanding of human rights.

Implementation: Disagreements arise when treating the problem of implementation. Some insist first on certain civil and political guarantees, whereas others defer initially to conditions of material well-being.

The Role of International Law: International law, while distinct from ethics, has been significantly influenced by ethical principles, particularly in human rights. It provides normative guidelines, methods, mechanisms, and a common conceptual language to international actors.

Global standards play a vital role in fostering cooperation and trust in international markets. By adhering to these standards, organizations can improve their operations, enhance their reputation, and contribute to a more sustainable and equitable world.

More generically, global standards refer to established guidelines, criteria, or norms that facilitate international activities, improve safety, and promote consistency across various sectors. They are crucial for ensuring quality, interoperability, and sustainability in a globalized world.

Nature of Thoughts

With every reflection, we’ll learn and we’ll grow. In the beauty of understanding, our true selves influence the world.

In the quiet of the mind,

where ideas reside,

Thoughts like energy flow,

 they twist and glide.

Some bring the delight,

others clouds our mind.

In the mirror of reflection,

they lead us to act of different types...

The nature of thoughts,

the ideas we come up.

Winding through valleys,

shine up on the hills we climb.

With every tempo to move,

they shape who we are,

In the ups and downs of adventure,

they’re our guiding stars.

Like flowers in the wind,

they flutter and change,

From ponderation of tomorrow to -

emotions that floe at present

In the stillness of salience,

they echo and call,

In the essence of our being,

we are intrinsically creative

So let’s embrace the chaos,

the beauty within,

In the inspiration of our thoughts,

let the journey begin.

With open mind and creative spirit,

we’ll learn to explore,

In the nature of thoughts,

we’ll discover the vast world.

So here we stand,

in the light of our fresh ideas,

In the nature of thoughts,

nothing’s as it seems.

With every reflection,

we’ll learn and we’ll grow,

In the beauty of understanding,

our true selves influence the world.

It involves the rational, methodical, and abstract consideration of reality as a whole or of fundamental dimensions of human existence and experience. Philosophy is a central element of intellectual history in many civilizations.

Throughout history in the West, philosophy has had many meanings, including:

-A search for wisdom

-An attempt to understand the universe

-An examination of moral responsibilities and social obligations

-An effort to understand people's intentions

-An effort to ground natural science

-A rigorous examination of the validity of human ideas

-An exploration of mind or consciousness

-An examination of truth, goodness, and beauty

-An effort to codify the rules of human thought to promote rationality

Philosophical inquiry is a central element in the intellectual history of many civilizations. Axial Age thinkers displayed surprising similarity in their concerns and saw themselves as postulating solutions to life’s questions for humankind as a whole. Continental philosophy concerns itself with general philosophical questions about the meaning of human existence and the ultimate nature of reality. Though their investigations began locally, their concerns were global and universal.

Judgmental of History

Looking at history needs to come from a genuine respect for difference, and we must see the entire picture for the good and the bad reality.

History provides life lessons even if you do not experience by yourself. Approaching history with a judgmental perspective involves evaluating past events, actions, and figures through the lens of modern values and ethics.

This approach can be both enlightening and problematic, depending on how it is applied. Here are some considerations:

Benefits of a Judgmental Approach: Take the moral reflection; judging historical events can provide moral lessons and help societies understand the consequences of certain actions. It can lead to a greater awareness of injustices and promote a commitment to prevent them in the future.

Accountability: Holding historical figures and events accountable can lead to a more honest and comprehensive understanding of history. It encourages the acknowledgment of wrongdoings and can be a step toward reconciliation and healing.

Cultural Sensitivity: Evaluating history through contemporary values can highlight cultural insensitivity and discrimination, encouraging more inclusive narratives that recognize the experiences of marginalized groups.

Challenges of a Judgmental Approach

Anachronism: Applying modern standards to historical contexts can lead to anachronistic judgments. It is important to consider the norms, values, and knowledge of the time when evaluating historical actions.

Complexity: History is complex, and events often involve a multitude of factors and perspectives. A judgmental approach can oversimplify these complexities and lead to black-and-white interpretations.

Bias: Personal biases can influence judgmental perspectives, potentially leading to skewed interpretations that serve contemporary agendas rather than objective understanding.

Balanced Perspective: To avoid the pitfalls of a judgmental approach, it is essential to balance moral evaluation with historical context. This means:

Understanding Context: Before passing judgment, it is crucial to understand the historical context, including the social, economic, and political factors that influenced decisions and actions.

Encouraging Dialogue: Engage in open discussions that consider multiple perspectives and interpretations. This can lead to a more nuanced understanding of history.

Learning and Growth: Use historical judgment as a tool for learning and growth, rather than condemnation. The focus should be on understanding how past mistakes can inform present and future actions.

Looking at history needs to come from a genuine respect for difference, and we must see the entire picture for the good and the bad reality. By combining moral reflection with historical context, individuals and societies can gain a deeper understanding of history and use it to foster a more just and equitable world.

If Not

If not now, then let’s take the chance. In this meaningful trip together, let’s start to make an influence.

If not now,

then when can we see beyond the boundary?

let’s open our eyes,

see both sameness and differences;

Every moment passes,

a chance to embrace,

In this fleeting time,

let’s find our place.

If not today,

when can we rebuild confidence;

With every crucial moment,

we can make a choice,

To reimagine the possibilities,

or to sing the blues.

So let’s take a step,

let’s break the mold,

In this journey of discovery,

let’s be bold.

If not for growth,

then what’s the goals?

If not for vision,

then who can fuel passion long-lasting?

With every initiative,

let’s make it clear,

In this journey together,

we’ll persevere.

If not for understanding & progress,

what can we bring each other together?

If not for inspiration,

then what’s the emotional flow underneath?

In the little moments,

 let’s find the spark,

Together we’ll shine, lighting the dark.

So here we stand,

in the light of fresh insight,

Choosing to live with a fitting mind.

If not for grand purposes,

then what else can we think about?

In this lyric to be creative,

you’re my melody.

So take time,

let’s unfold our story,

In the moments we share,

we’ll find our common beliefs.

If not now,

then let’s take the chance,

In this meaningful trip together,

let’s start to make an influence.
