Non Fiction

I thought Goodreads was fiction only, duh! I show very slow progress on my fiction books because I read mostly non-fiction, particularly, American history with the Civil War being front and center in my library. Much of my reading includes archived newspapers, letters, diaries and official reports. Hope that explains why I take so long getting through a fiction book (not to mention I am a slow reader).

LATEST NOVEL

Hello Dear Followers,
"Rum Run" has taken me on a wonderful journey between research, publication, signings and programs. To write and have my material published is one thing, but to have readers and followers of my work is extra special. Because I deeply appreciate your interest in my writing, I am starting a blog so you can follow the book I am currently researching and writing.
With the new year, I am back to working on my latest novel. This has been an ongoing project that I have studied for many, many years, and I have traveled to the sites I am writing about as well as attended Civil War reenactments in the states the story takes place. The story begins at the outbreak of the Civil War, and is a true story about an Ohio soldier that has a mystery. I am writing it as an historical fiction but I am treading slowly as I want it to be as historically accurate as possible.
Because I am the one who uncovered the mystery concerning this Ohio soldier, I am telling the story from two perspectives- his and mine.
I hope you find my blogs interesting enough to follow- I'll do my best to make them so! Meanwhile, thank you for following me. It means a lot to me.
