I’m going to stop accepting commissions for a little while to focus on making comics but thank you to everyone that ordered one in the past few months!

It’s been a pleasure to work on these commissions. I plan to collect them on an artbook later this year hopefully.

A big thanks to Prémio Bandas Desenhadas 2019 (Portuguese Comics Awards) for awarding Andromeda with “best edition”:

“In this category, the judges take into account not only the comic strips themselves but also their physical support and the quality of the extra content to the BD itself. The winning work in 2019 was the author edition of Zé Burnay of Andromeda or The Long Way Home, an extemporaneous nomination, whose launch date took place in the second quarter of 2019. In fact, with regard to the author editions, the quality of this work is unusual in our national panorama, with a careful design, be it the accompanying CD - including its insert - or the book - such as the spine in fabric, the paper or the option for metallic copper. Given that all the other nominated works were national publications with commercial distribution, the fact that the winner of the Best Edition is a work with alternative distribution is a double feat and is expected to be an incentive to editors of works that are not distributed neither in bookstores nor in the points of sale of periodicals thinking of the book as an object.”
