The Journey
This writing road has been a tough course to trot. The plot has been filled with bumps, ditches, worn out shoes and sore feet, but through it all God has walked with me. He’s given me the energy when I wanted to give up, he’s encouraged me when all I received was rejection, and he’s kept my pride in check when I tasted a little success.
This writing road is still a tough course to trot. There’s been a lot of happiness and there’s been a lot of pain, but when pen hits paper (or, usually, fingers hit keys) the joy of creation continues to carry me higher. Glory be to God! My desire to have a book published has finally been achieved, though I know this is just the beginning. I’ve never been one to settle for where I am, and this beautiful thing called writing never allows me to settle as long as I continue to persevere.
This writing road will be a tough course to trot. Some days will be desert hot, and some days will be arctic cold, but God will be with me. I pray God will be my source of humility in times of success, and my teacher in times of failure. Oh yes, this writing road is a tough course to trot; but, with God by my side I’m gonna give it all I’ve got.
