Agni (sharmishtha basu) Talks about Movie and Music 4.6.18 Dexter’s laboratory

I have loved this series from the very beginning. I think it is one of the smartest animation series with very intelligent lessons hidden behind the light-hearted bickering of a genius, grumpy brother and his cute, brainless sister being brought up by a pair of crazy parents!

These stories are not mere brainless fun, if you watch them you will realize that someone very intelligent wrote those stories. I love those crazy experiments of Dexter that sometimes went wrong because of his own miscalculations and sometimes because of forever pestering DD his sister!

His evil arch enemy Mandark is more fun than evil! I don’t like the justice friend or others that have been punched in though!

Have you watched this series? If not try it out! Let me know what you thought of it after watching!

Agni (sharmishtha basu) Talks about Movie and Music 28.5.18 awesome lorax

This is another favorite of tree-hugging Trish aka Agni. I truly loved this movie. It is a complete beauty. The moral hidden behind the story and the fantastic characters that played that educating drama!

This is something we, modern human beings should seriously contemplate upon. After living in the “modern housing complex” of Narendrapur for a summer and one and a half winter I can assure you that burying the soil under concrete slabs to keep your housing nifty is a suicidal idea! It will heat up like hell in summer and freeze you to bones in winter. Of course you can throw in two extra blankets and use A.C. like the characters in awesome lorax did after wiping the earth clean of trees! But being the smarty pants of all beasts is this what we really want to do?

Come stay in Kolkata in the areas like Haridebpur or Dalhousie then tell me about paving the earth with concrete!

Don’t forget to watch it, it is a really funny movie too! Filled with absolutely adorable creatures.

Let me know what you thought of it after watching!

Agni (sharmishtha basu) Talks about Movie and Music 21.5.18 coraline

Have you heard the song “runaway train” by Richard Marx, in which he shares the plight of kids that run away from home, to rebel or save themselves?

This story is sort of lighter reminder of that tragedy! I sort of liked it because of its background lesson.

A child craving for “perfect parents” and then she gets them to finally realize that things that are too good to be real are mostly not! Sometimes they can be very evil or deadly!

Parents should show this movie to their kids, a few times at least! Then explain too, by some real life examples.

Let me know what you thought of it after watching!
