Book Review: "Luck of the Irish" by Liz Gavin
About The Author
When Liz Gavin was in Second Grade - just a couple of years ago, really - her teacher told her mother the little girl should start a diary because she needed an outlet for her active and vivid imagination. She was a talkative child who would disrupt the class by engaging her colleagues in endless conversations. She loved telling them the stories her grandfather used to tell her.Apparently, the teacher wasn't a big fan of those stories, and Liz's mother bought her a diary. She happily wrote on it for a couple of months. Unable to see the appeal of writing for her own enjoyment only, she gave up on it. She missed the audience her friends provided her in class. She went back to disturbing her dear teacher's class.Since then, she has become a hungry reader. She will read anything and everything she can get her hands on - from the classics to erotica. That's how she has become a writer of erotica and romance, as well.As a young adult, she participated in a student exchange program and lived in New Orleans for six months. She fell in love with the city and its wonderful inhabitants. NOLA will always hold a special spot in Liz Gavin's heart. Nowadays, living in Brazil, Liz's creativity has improved many times because it's such a vibrant, gorgeous and sexy country.Welcome to her world of hot Alpha males and naughty, independent women. Review: "The Ruins on Stone Hill" by F. P. Spirit
About the AuthorF.P. Spirit has always loved fantasy. From the moment he received his very first copy of Lord of the Rings back in high school, he was hooked. Today, somewhere between work, raising two teen boys, and trying to be a devoted husband, F. P. manages to write sword and sorcery fantasy fiction. His novels, The Ruins on Stone Hill, The Serpent Cult and The Dark Monolith, are the first three books in the series Heroes of Ravenford. The series chronicles the adventures of a band of young heroes in the dangerous world of Thac. F.P. is currently working on the fourth book in the Heroes of Ravenford series, The Princess of Lanfor, to be released in late 2015.
To learn more you can go to his website http://fpspirit.com/ or follow him on Twitter at https://twitter.com/FP_Spiritout
About The Book
Magic is Easy or so Glolindir thought, until he came face to face with his first live monster. Casting spells was not so simple with death breathing down his neck. His story might have ended there if not for three gifted youths: Seth, the mysterious halfling with the moves of an assassin; Lloyd, the spiritblade whose fiery swords are whirlwind-fast; and Aksel, the gnome whose very touch can heal. Yet that was just the beginning of their adventures, for dark shadows loom over the little town of Ravenford. The townsfolk quickly turn to these newcomers, who may indeed be their only hope. From the old ruined keep southwest of town to hidden caves in the western hills, through dark tunnels, secret passages, concealed rooms and magical mirrors, they must face mythical monsters, evil creatures, and dark wizards, each more perilous than the last. Can they rise to the challenge and become the Heroes that the people of Ravenford so sorely need?
My ReviewEntertaining and CaptivatingA band of misfits come together to become the Heroes of Stone Hill (as some call them). They go upon quest after quest for the Baron, after kicking some Orc booty and find a document for the town wizard. This little band consists of an elfin mage, a Halfling ninja, a gnome healer and a large human warrior. After their first encounter with the Orcs, they team with a couple of guys for hire (a tracker and a warrior) and even later an elfin bard.
I haven’t read a lot of Fantasy but this was an enjoyable read, and I intend to read more of Mr. Spirit's books. THE RUINS ON STONE HILL was not only captivating; it was fun and hard to put down.

Review: "Finding Katie" by Harmony Kent
About The Author
Indie Author Harmony Kent has written a number of books. The Battle for Brisingamen, her first novel, is a work of fantasy fiction and was approved by Awesome Indies within weeks of its release. Her second book, The Glade shows her equally at home in the realms of mystery, suspense and thriller - with a dash of magical realism. This book has also been approved for the Awesome Indies List. The Glade was awarded the IndieBRAG Medallion in July 2014. Harmony's third book (Elemental Earth) is Young Adult Fantasy Fiction, and was published 31st July 2014. With more books already in progress, she is well on her way to being a firmly established multi genre author.
As well as being an avid reader and writer, Harmony also offers editing, proof reading, manuscript appraisal and beta reading services. As well as reviewing and supporting her fellow indie authors, Harmony works hard to promote and protect high standards within the indie publishing arena. She is always on the look out for talent and excellence, and will freely promote any authors or books who she feels have these attributes.
Harmony is 42 years old, single and currently lives in Cornwall, England. Read on for ten things Harmony thinks you should know about her ... Ten Things:
I was born in 2013 (at least, the author in me was) ... the rest of me is ... err ... just a LITTLE bit older than that.
I am really boring.
I have absolutely no sense of humour. At all.
I read. A lot.
I write. Even more.
I'm completely sane (in).
I don't have any children, but I am surrounded by loads of cute gremlins who claim to be my nieces and nephews. Stranger still: they seem to like me.
If you've read this far, you're probably as sane as I am.
If you still want to hang around, and if you're feeling brave ...
I'm online ...

About The Book
I killed someone, you see. I killed the girl, who used to be me.
I’m Kate … Kate Charlesworth. I’m seventeen, and self-harming. This time I cut too deep, and I’m in hospital. I hadn’t meant for it to be so bad—it just sort of happened. I needed a lot of distraction that day.
You’ve had bad days, right? Days it hurts too much to think. Days you just wanna stay in bed. Days when the world needs to go away for a while. Right?
What do you do when you’ve hit rock bottom? When there’s nowhere left to turn?
This one little mistake lands me back on a psych unit—the last place I wanna be. Only this time, the nurse I end up with isn’t content to stick on a band-aid and send me home. She wants me to face my demons. But to do that, I’ll have to face who I am … who I used to be … I’ll have to find Katie.
My Review Excellent Writing of Sensitive Subjects
Finding Katie is an excellent, well-written book. Written in first person, you experience the feelings, thoughts, heartache, etc. of a disturbed young woman of seventeen who struggles to find the girl she used to be. Ms. Kent handled the sensitive topics of abuse and self-harming like an expert.
I had a hard time putting it down once I started reading, but since I had to go back to work, I had no choice. However, I may have been late a few times as I dragged myself away kicking and screaming. Great job, Harmony Kent.
Get your copy of Finding Katie here.

About The Book
I killed someone, you see. I killed the girl, who used to be me.I’m Kate … Kate Charlesworth.
