PASSION trailer and a review

Hey folks, I'm back from my trip to Northumberland and I'm busy catching up on email and updates. Amongst the goodies is this yummy trailer for Rachel Kramer Bussel's new anthology PASSION: EROTIC ROMANCE FOR WOMEN. Check it out!

Passion also got a lovely review at Whipped Cream Erotic Romance Reviews, and my story in the collection got a mention!

Talk about a collection of stories to make you squirm in your seat! Chilly fall night or a quick pick-me-up to get in the mood—this is the one...

First is Third Time's The Charm by Charlene Teglia. This was my first foray into the world of Ms. Teglia, but it won't be my last. The heat sizzles in this short little story of confusion and redemption. I loved Nick. He's not perfect, but he's honest and from the vision I got from reading the description, he's yummy. Lynn came across as a bit cranky, but I understood and liked how she grew through the experience. Plus, who said elevator sex isn't hot?

I also loved No Risk, No Reward by Saskia Walker. What if you had to say goodbye to the one person who made you tick, the one who got you out of yourself? Would you do something crazy? I loved how the narrator pined over the man she loved. It was sweet to read her reminiscing. I felt like I was there in the Land Rover with her, struggling to decide what to do about Cameron. He's forthright, but it's good because he takes charge. The ending left me sighing and panting. Yeah, it's that hot.

Wooohoo! :D

Back to work tomorrow morning! More news from me soon.

New publication: MONICA'S SECRET

MONICA'S SECRET is now available from Total-E-Bound! This is the first in the "Erogenous Zones" series about three psychic sisters living in London.

Two men have walked into Monica Evans' life, and it isn't ever going to be the same. Owen Clifford and his lover, Alec Stroud, are investigating fraud at Monica's place of work, a luxurious London hotel. From the moment they meet, the chemistry between the three of them is off the scale.

But Monica has a secret, and it isn't anything to do with fraud. Like her sisters, Monica is a psychic. In Monica's case the gift is psychometry - when she touches objects or people she can experience their sexual history. Can she ever truly share that with a lover, let alone two bisexual lovers? Something about Owen and Alec captures her though, literally. Willingly bound and seduced, Monica opens up to them, physically, emotionally, and psychically.

Owen and Alec have been looking for their third, and they believe Monica might be the one to complete their lives. But Monica's secret isn't the only barrier these two have to break down in order to win their woman. Fraud, duplicity, and mysterious threats add to their complications. For Owen and Alec, the challenges are stacking up and the race is on.

New publication: PASSION: EROTIC ROMANCE FOR WOMEN

PASSION: EROTIC ROMANCE FOR WOMEN is now available! This anthology of new erotic romance tales is edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel for Cleis Press. Here's the blurb:

Love and sex have always been intimately intertwined, and Passion shows just how well the two can merge. This collection of steamy stories combines rich and explicit imagery with tales of classic love, letting the best writers of erotic romance bring to life tales that can be read aloud in bed. From long lost lovers reunited to love at first sight to romance rekindled, Passion's succulent stories quicken heartbeats and appeal to everyone, from the least to the most romantic of souls.

"Passion delivers just what you would expect--super hot stories with sex that burns up the pages. Don't miss it!" —USA Today & Essence bestselling author, Kayla Perrin

I'm very excited about this new collection. Amongst a terrific line up, PASSION includes a short story from me, "No Risk, No Reward," and one from my good buddy Portia Da Costa, "The Efficiency Expert."

Now in stock at Amazon.com and available for pre order from Amazon UK.

Book availability update

It's been a hectic few days of editing and proofing galleys here – lots of new stuff coming soon!

Latest book news is that SORCERESS is now available at All Romance Ebooks, Kindle US and Kindle UK. It will also be on Fictionwise soon. It hasn't popped up in print in the UK as yet, but that's in the pipeline.

Only a week until MONICA'S SECRET is out! My editor said this was her favourite of all my Total-E-Bound books, she loved it. I'm hoping readers will like it as much as she did.

Once again I'm behind with my blog plans. The writing always has to come first, but I'm hoping to play catch up this week before we go away to Northumberland.

Have a great week!

What's on my desk, and lots of good news!

I'm back from the seaside, back at my desk, and surrounded by to-do lists.

I was a bit quiet on the net/blog/twitter front for a couple of weeks before I went away. The reasons were twofold. I had an injured man to fuss over (always an excuse to pamper and tease the Real Life Hero ;-) and work wise I was in a phase of planning ahead. That means new ideas, proposals, and mapping out my work schedule for the next year or so.

To help me keep organised I have a whiteboard where I list projects with their deadlines, and I also have a wipe clean year chart where I block off chunks of time for the individual projects. Things will change as I go along (hence the *wipe clean* board and year planner ;-) but I need to have a long range plan to help me decide which order I need to work on things. It can always be shuffled as needs be.

For the next two weeks I am mostly editing, and in between times I hope to finish up a short novel that has been on hold for a long while. We are away in Northumberland for a few days later in the month and I hope to get a few things tidied away before that, because once I get back I'll be writing on new projects.

When we came back from our brief trip to the coast I had various bits of good news in my mailbox. Yay! First up a message from my editor at Spice informed me I had no revisions to do on THE HARLOT. Wooohoo! I was astonished! She said she was "bowled over" by the novel, which is just about the best response a writer could wish for. I've been grinning like a fool here, and I'm hopeful that readers will enjoy the story as much as my editor did.

I also came back to confirmation of a new contract to write three more Spice Briefs for publication in 2012. There was also news of a short story sale (more on that soon) and a royalty payment (cos of course being paid for all this hard work is always cause for celebration. ;-)

I hope to be able to share the cover from THE HARLOT soon, meanwhile here is the cover copy:

It is a Dark Era, one when a lusty lass will do what she must to survive. Even if it means bartering flesh for a palmful of coins…

Forced to watch her mother burned at the stake and separated from her siblings in the aftermath, Jessie Taskill is similarly gifted, ripe with a powerful magic that must stay hidden. Until one night when she's accused by a rival, and Jessie finds herself behind prison walls with a roguish priest unlike any man of the cloth she has known.

In reality, Gregor Ramsay is as far from holy as the devil himself, but his promise of freedom in return for her services may be her salvation. Locked into a dubious agreement, Jessie resents his plan to have her seduce and ruin his lifelong enemy. But toying with Gregor's lust for her is enjoyable, and she agrees to be his pawn while secretly intending to use him just as he is using her.…
