The Reset Button

May 20, 2015

Kaylen and I

put 15,000 miles on the tour van

in the last three months

and are downright tuckered for the moment.

Sure delighted to be heading off to a Vipassana course now

to let impermanence do its job.

I’ll be unavailable via phone or email until June 6, 2014.

If you find yourself needing answers regarding a merchandise matter

please contact Houston Hughes at houstonrh7@gmail.com.

If there’s a booking question, please see the booking page on www.buddywakefield.com/booking/

and contact the appropriate person.

U.S. organizers, I’ll respond to your email as soon as I return (Danny Oliver is also out of the office).

Please be patient as there is a quick trip to the Winnipeg Spoken Word Festival

through June 10th directly following Vipassana.

Rest assured your email will be received and tended to as soon as we’re able.

Any promotional matters please contact thomas@santacruzmusicfestival.com.

Questions regarding shows/festivals already booked,

not to worry,

you can count on me showing up in proper form.

If you have questions about show details, kaylen.krebsbach@gmail.com can likely give you a good answer.

If this is an emergency, please logout and dial 9-1-1. Tell them I’m having a fantastic time.

Kind regards,

Buddy

P.S. Check out the 2-hour playlist I developed for Altar Ego Radio.

It will air sometime while I’m away.

Mainstage Backdrop Frontrunner

March 12, 2014

So I thought big and was happy to make a stage backdrop

for the 3-month U.S. leg of the world tour.

Turns out, the two of us are even happier not to have it as part of

set up and breakdown, every night.

If you or an organization you know are interested in owning

the official 20-foot by 10-foot

Riled Up and Wasted On Light World Tour backdrop

(includes instructions, lighting, two podiums in which the set is stored;

images on the podiums are included below)

we’d love to ship it to ya this week.

The freestanding set takes 30-minutes to put up

and half that to strike; made of 10 vinyl magnet panels.

I spent 2k on it and will ship it to the best offer

(consider: shipping will likely cost around $300;

weighs a couple hundred pounds,

but both podiums are on wheels for easy moving).

Holler bookingbuddywakefield@gmail.com

with questions or offers.

I’m happy to sign the podiums/backdrop upon request.

All artwork for the tour is by Javier Piñón.

Stadium-sized two-person wave [to and] from Salt Lake City tonight after

an incredibly fun and warm show (thanks to the crowd!),

Making Dynamite

March 9, 2014

Today is.

Then today felt like it needed to make that sentence

longer.

That’s why we’re here

making dynamite

out of digital dust

leaving firework prints

on the final push

burning out

as a result of the rush

etching epitaphs

into the pie chart crust.

Yours reads “more.”

Mine reads “enough.”

There’s a telescope

in my lower tooth

so when the sky drops my jaw

I can see the truth

how nearly everything elliptically

serves its root

until dying

is no longer an issue.

…See y’all tonight in the Denver section of Colorado:

March 9, 2014 with Denver youth poets Minor Disturbance at The Mercury

2199 California Street, 5:30pm workshop ($5 students/$10 tickets at door)

8:30pm performance ($5students/$10 general at door)

Upon arriving back at the tour van in St. Louis last night

after spending the week in Seattle at AWP with the crew from Write Bloody

I was presented with homemade Riled Up and Wasted On Light World Tour Beer

created by my tour manager, Kaylen Krebsbach, and her brother Damian.

Kaylen is helping to warm up the crowd TOMORROW NIGHT

March 5, 2014 at Old North St. Louis Restoration Group Gallery

2700 North 14th Street, St. Louis, MO, 7pm, $10 tickets at door only.

All artwork representing the tour is by Javier Piñón.
