The book winner...

WOW we had 21 comments for the book contest...we did something unique to pick the winner, I took Laura's birthday (12-31 in case you need to remember that) and I added the 1 plus the 2 plus the 3 plus the 1 and all that adds up to seven, then I counted down from the top (beginning with the earliest comments first) and this is the 7th comment...

Healing Love Blog Tour - Day 12

Today's post is from author Diana L. Brandemeyer, you can see her all of her review posted on amazon.com

Healing Love, book 1 is a delightful read. It's a tough deal for an Amish woman to fall in love with an Englisher. Kristi and Shane belong together, along with the dog, Chinook who is a bridge between them. Hilton does an good job with keeping you engaged to find out if they will find away to be together.

Healing Love Blog Tour, Day 9

Ohh a great review today, from Susan Ferrell!  The entire review can be viewed on facebook at The Whoopie Pie Book Club, All Thing Amish, and also Comings and Goings of Amish Books, all three  of these are facebook pages.

Here is the snippet:
I just finished reading Laura V. Hilton's Healing Love and I'm begging for more! Healing Love is the first book in Hilton's new series, The Amish of Webster County. It tells a captivating tale of Kristi Lapp, an Old Order Amish Midwife and her neighbor Shane Zimmerman, a veterinarian -- and an Englischer. Two very different people searching for their place in this world...and struggling to find out how their two worlds can become one. Hilton intracately weaves these two peoples' lives together in ways they would never have imagined!

Do not forget the giveaways going on...A giveaway for Harvest of Hearts here on this blog, the Grate-Fall Basket giveaway, and several of the bloggers and reviewers are giving away copies of Healing Love.   Jettie's Ramblings

(Note by Laura)  This is the cover for my 2013 Whitaker House release, the second book in The Amish of Webster County series, SURRENDERED LOVE. It will be available in April 2013, and is not available for preorder yet, but will keep you posted.

Healing Love Blog Tour Day 8

Today's review is from Jettie at Jettie's Ramblings.  The entire review can be read by clicking HERE.

Here is a small snippet of the review:
Shane has move to Webster County to get away from the memories of his wife and baby dying, at what he considers the hands of a midwife's inability to give proper attention.  Even though he is attracted to Kristi, he wants nothing to do with her 'calling'.  Will they find a way to get around their differences, or will he move on, and find a woman who shares his values?

I give this book 4 1/2 stars.  It is really a good book, easy to read and understand.

Thanks to all the reviewers.  Do not forget to leave a comment for an entry into the Grate-Fall Basket Giveaway.    Also do not forget the book giveaway we are hosting this week.   Click here to go directly to the post to enter the contest.

Also be sure to visit Jettie's blog, she is having a separate giveaway of the book Healing Love.

Healing Love Blog Tour Day 7

Today review and post comes from Pamela over at Whoopie Pie Place.  She graciously awarded Laura's book 5 whoopie pies (I love it!)
Here is a short snippet, the review can be viewed HERE

Continuing her success from her previous series, “Amish of Seymour County”, and judging by her first book “Healing Love” in her new “Amish of Webster County Series”, I believe author Laura Hilton has yet another wonderful Amish series.  From page one till the conclusion of this story, I was involved with each aspect of Kristi Lapp’s story.  I couldn’t put it down.

Thanks to all the great reviewers who have participated so far in the tour.  Do not forget to leave a comment for an entry to the Grate-Fall Basket giveaway!

Also be sure to check out this great interview over at June Foster's Blog !! (Love that title of the interview)

Healing Love Blog Tour Day 6

Today's post is from Julie Arduini.  Julie is a critique partner of Laura's and was priveledge to be on the entire journey of this story!!
Here is a snippet of her review:
This conflict kept me fascinated, and Laura did an exceptional job creating multi-dimensional characters. I was especially touched by Kristi's injury and how it affected her future with the Amish. I enjoyed the secondary characters, including Shane's sister. And for the romance fan, Laura is the best at creating real romantic moments that make you sigh without compromising core values.

You can see all of Julie's review, and you don't want to miss it, it is a great review, on amazon.com  or on Julie's blog.
