donate two looted Qing dynasty bronzes back to China. Having been stolen from Beijing's Summer Palace in 1860, the bronze heads of a
rat and a rabbit were among 12 artefacts looted by French and British troops at

Kjent kinesisk kirkeleder er død
Den kinesiske katolske biskopen Jin Luxian er død, 96 år gammel. Da kommunistene grep makten i 1949, sluttet han seg til den statsstøttede delen av den katolske kirken i Kina. Hva betyr 50 millioner døde kinesere?
Mine siste bok, MAOS RIKE - En lidelseshistorie, ble belønnet med Brageprisen for 2012 i kategorien sakprosa. Mange kinesere fikk et bedre liv under Mao, men prisen de betalte var skyhøy. Trolig ble mer enn 50 millioner mennesker ofret på revolusjonens alter i hans styretid fra 1949 til 1976. Er tallet så høyt at vi ikke klarer å fatte det? Eller er Kina så langt borte at det ikke angår oss?
