And what develops over time, and can increase over time, is our resilience. Ultimately, our resilience is the strong part of us that goes along with the vulnerability. Resilience means that we have bounce-back. So, our false view of the world tells us that we’re going to be able to get through unscathed, as if we were not vulnerable. But the truth of the matter is that we are vulnerable, but we have tremendous bounce-back. We have to understand that we’re not going to bounce back instantly from something that’s extremely traumatic. Time heals.”
