“A Christian will find it most beneficial to practice secret worship, corporate worship, and family worship. They are all important for our life in Christ. They each bear a necessary weight, and they all inform one another. When my secret worship is lacking or even non-existent, then my worship in the corporate community and family will be affected. When my attendance at corporate worship is sparse, then my secret worship and family worship will suffer as well. These three spheres of worship are related, informed, and encouraged by one another, because in each I am meeting with the Lord and benefiting from His grace. As I grow in my enjoyment of the Lord in my closet, so my enjoyment of Him in corporate worship will increase. As I hear the preached Word of God in corporate worship, this informs and stimulates my heart and mind in leading my own family in worship. As I worship God with my family, my affection and love for the Lord increases, which encourages my secret and corporate worship. They all inform one another. If I am starving in one area, then as I function in the other spheres I will find that I am malnourished there as well. p. 27”
Jason Helopoulos, A Neglected Grace: Family Worship in the Christian Home
“Em vez de nos golpear com a mão pesada da obrigatoriedade, Jason defende o culto em família como um exemplo da bondade divina. Sim, carecemos de motivação para a disciplina do culto familiar, mas a motivação primordial e mais eficaz não advém de nos sentirmos terríveis pelo que deveríamos fazer melhor, e sim da crença no que Deus tem reservado para nós. A mensagem do livro não é “Ore com sua família, senão...”, e sim “Pense em quanto será agradável”.”

“Good preachers understand that their sermons need to be not only faithful but also engaging.”
Jason Helopoulos, The New Pastor's Handbook: Help and Encouragement for the First Years of Ministry
“It is difficult for a pastor to grow if he isn’t reading. There is no way to circumvent this vital aspect of the ministry of the Word to which we have been called. This means we study. We study the Word, the theology of the Word, and the application of the Word. We study the history of the church, false religions, culture, people, philosophy, and current issues. A reading pastor makes a better pastor. Our goal is not to become experts on everything. We don’t need to know all the latest trends, journal articles, or educational philosophies, but we do need to be students who continually desire to learn. Our goal is to learn more so that we can communicate the truth of God’s Word more ably.”
Jason Helopoulos, The New Pastor's Handbook: Help and Encouragement for the First Years of Ministry
“We need fewer aspiring conference speakers and more faithful pastors committed to their local churches. Be”
