I've been writing a series called Front Porch Promises. The third book in the series, A FAMILY TO CALL OURS, is a followup to the second. The heroine Tara Madsen is a secondary character in the second book, A LOVE TO CALL MINE. Tara's story evolved out of Max and Heather's story.

I'm working on the fourth book in my Front Porch Promises series, A Song to Call Ours. It is the story of Amanda Reynolds, who has been a secondary character in one of my earlier books from Love Inspired. She was a teenager in The Heart's Forgiveness. She is a secondary character in A Love to Call Mine and A Family to Call Ours. The series follows Amanda to Tennessee, where she hopes to make it big in Nashville.

I have a couple of things I love about being a writer. One, I get to set my own hours. Two, I get to share these stories that populate my mind with other people.

Thankfully, I have never had what I consider writer's block. Occasionally, I might have to slug my way through a scene because it isn't flowing the way I like. Many times in that case, I will go ahead in the story to a scene that is more clear in my mind. That usually helps, and I can go back to the other scene later.
