Andy Fry Hi Tracy, Thank you for the note and thank you for taking the time to read my book. I appreciate the feedback. I'm working on a second book related to Trust and it will be written in a similar format. It will be coming out in couple of months. My goal is to provide some steps that the readers can implement and apply to improve their careers and lives. Thank you Tracy. I hope you have a great day. Andy
Andy Fry The idea from The Consultant's Code was from my experience in consulting and what I noticed that clients valued. Much of what I saw contradicted what is common belief and assumed to be correct.

The new book I am writing that is related to Trust is from what I experienced over my consulting career. I witnessed situations where a lack of trust by someone caused relationships to fail and in relational to consulting would cause some projects to fail. Often people didn't even know why they didn't trust someone and had little to no tools to deal with that lack of trust. I wanted to share my experience, what researchers have found and methods of developing trust between consultants and their clients and clients and their consultants.
Andy Fry Getting the ideas and thoughts that have come to me over the years out to those that could use those ideas.
Andy Fry My advice is to plan out your writing like any other project. I can explain each of these steps in detail if anyone is interested.

1. Determine the layout based on the type of writing, ie, fiction, nonfiction, screen play, blog, etc
2. Determine how many words you'd like to write
3. Plan and schedule the amount of words you'd write per day (I can share my approach to this if anyone is interested)
4. Write today and do not edit as you go (edit later)
5. If research is required then research at a different time then writing
6. Find a good editor (maybe this should have been #1 :)
7. keep up the work and find other writers to provide encouragement as we'll all need it
8. Trust yourself and the process.
Andy Fry I schedule my writing every day. There are days that I can not wait to get going and there are other days that it is a struggle. If found that if I schedule in writing each day then I accomplish my writing goals more often.
Andy Fry I am currently working on another book related to Trust and how it positively and negatively affects consultants and their clients. The book will be in a similar format to The Consultant's Code as I will cover my thoughts and experience on the components of trust, what researchers and scientists have found in regards to each component and what you can do about developing skills to improve the trust component.
Andy Fry If I find I have writer's block I begin to just write. I will write what is on my mind just to get it going. I find action is the best way to alleviate being stuck. Most often though the challenge isn't writer's block as much as it is a struggle to get going. Stephen Pressfield said it the best in his book The War of Art that writing isn't have, sitting down to write is hard. I will admit that on occasion I do need to parent myself and give myself a firm push to get going.
